Chebeague Island Inn

There really isn't much to do on the island but swim. We were told there would be bikes to ride around the 5 mile island, but the bikes were completely rusted and unusable. There were no other rentals such as kayaks. So it basically is a one night stay kind of Place unless you are much less active than my husband and I are. There were golf carts at a local place within walking distance, but they were not available when we were there.

Location and decoration is amazing.

Staff -other than waiters - were college kids who did not appear to have an adult managing them. Things were not cleaned up in a timely manner and the free bikes were all broken.

It’s a great stay for the location of the island. It has an old cozy feel. The room was adorable and cozy. We had a water view.

There are areas that need worked on and it could be amazing. They need some new bikes for sure.

It was delicious. Good positions, well prepared, and courteously served.

The owners need to update all porch furniture. Put shade curtains on the patio and in the breakfast area. The sun was hot and blinding and we had to move inside for comfort. There needs to be lawn seating with umbrellas so people can enjoy a beverage or conversation outside. Instead of shabby chic, the patio looks poor. There was a noticeable lack of a manager on duty in the morning. All questions were deflected by on duty staff with the promise of getting back to us. The bicycles are old and in disrepair. We tried to ride them and gave up. They all need to be replaced. We tried to go to the beach with the shuttle and were told there was no one to take us. Need more shuttle drivers. All rooms need a split air conditioner/heater…or at least a fan in the room
