The historic home was spotless, beautifully appointed, and filled with charming period furnishings and artwork - and the location is convenient to downtown and the river.

Joe made us a delicious multi course breakfast each of the two mornings we stayed there. He provided the breakfast on beautiful tableware and also gave us so much insight into the home, history of the property and his family.
We received a private piano concert before dinner one day. It is comparable to staying in a museum.
The guest quarters are in a separate cottage with 2 bedrooms and a bathroom.
While we are not big tv users, the room tv did not work for us. Also, the shower/bathroom could use a bit of updating although everything functioned just fine.

Very private, clean, and comfortable cottage. Phenomenal breakfast each morning! Joseph has taken wonderful care of all our needs each of the 3 times we have stayed here. We will return again!
We did have some mosquitos bother us outside on the porch once but our host did provide bug repellent. I just don’t like to use any type of bug repellent on my skin due to allergies. Other than this we have absolutely no complaints!
