East Wind Inn on the Water

Loved the isolation and the fact that it was comfortable, but not posh. Staff - especially in the restaurant - were really lovely and friendly. Beautiful scenery off the beaten path.

The location is spectacular for those who wish to visit the "real" Maine Coast - Tenants Harbor is a real working lobster/fishing way of life, and it is all around you. No tourist shops or gatzi's. Gorgeous photo ops, painting opportunities. The East Wind stands by itself as a real haven for visitors by itself in this small Maine town. It is a short drive to Port Clyde, Owls Head, Thomaston, Rockland and Camden (don't miss Owl's Head Light, the Windjammers or the Farnsworth Museum of Art. We could not find a better restaurant for dinner than the East Wind itself.

We have stayed in many B&Bs, Inns and Hotels and told the owner what an excellent job they are doing there. The location for an authentic coastal Manie experience is superb.

Stunning, peaceful location

The room we were eventually given had a spectacular view over the bay….. The breakfast was very good and freshly made

The room was messy and hadn’t been cleaned or bed made. Had to make our own bed and limited clean towels and rubbish still in unclean toilet. Two different servers for breakfast and both forgetful. Asked for Juice, only came when pestered. Asked for more coffee, never came….. Spoke to owner who actually knew of the issue but didn’t come to apologise
