The only plus in this accommodation is a beautiful view from the terrace , BUT this is the merit of Mother Nature, and not the owners of the villa. Moreover, there are plenty of other accommodations nearby with the same views and amenities that Villa Raffaela simply doesn't have. ==================================== - The coffee is just disgusting and has nothing to do with this noble drink; instead, some kind of slop is served. And dinner is, Firstly, it is very expensive - 30 euros per person. In any of the restaurants, of which there are a large number in Ischia, food is much tastier, more varied and cheaper. Secondly, the menu is very meager and the portions are very small. In a word, dinner is absolutely not worth the money. - Very unfriendly and hypocrite staff. They smile in your eyes, and say all sorts of nasty things behind your eyes. - So I really, really DO NOT recommend this place. Only if you want to spoil your whole life experience from the island of Ischia, then you can stay there.

- Absence of daily toiletries. It is only provided in the room once upon arrival. However it is clearly stated in the facilities description in Booking.com, that accommodation provides free toiletries and that means free toiletries during the whole stay. So it does not correspond to reality. The owners of Villa are saving even on soap for their guests. This is the top of greed. - Everything in the bathroom of the room is very old and the sink and toilet and bidet and shower, everywhere there is rust. It seems that all sanitary equipment was installed in the time of Caesar. - The locks of the room entrance door are so old and rusty that after a while they get blocked and just stop opening and closing. - Very hard and uncomfortable bed. It feels like the inside of the mattress there are just old straw and twigs. - There is no air conditioning, there is only a fan, which is not effective during the heat. The room was unbearably hot, just scorching. Although the information on Tripadvisor states that rooms in villa Raffaela have air conditioning, but this is not true. - There is no refrigerator nor in the room, neither in the public area, so no way to put even a bottle of water or wine to cool it. - The terrace was cleaned only once upon arrival, and then it is not cleaned and it remains dirty during your stay. Thank God it started raining and washed it a little. - Ants crawl on tables where guests have breakfast. Those ones feel like real owners in villa. - In the room, all the furniture is very old, one bedside lamp did not work. - Very poor breakfast. Withered not fresh tomatoes, a pie made of old half-eaten pasta with eggs, which are fed to guests like to the sheep’s. Moreover, on the Tripadvisor website there are photos of breakfast from 7 years ago, which are, at present moment, completely do not correspond to reality. This misleads the guests who see on the photos one thing, but in reality they get something completely different.

Excellent breakfast. Also did evening meals if required. No English spoken by them but much fun in trying to understand each other. They had three cats who were friendly Staff always smiling

Hard to find as no roads have their name on them. Very narrow road up to place. You have to climb 66 steps up to them Don't take credit cards. TV is purely local
