The location was fantastic! Plenty of places to walk to for food and shopping. I traveled with my two nephews and needed a place to crash for the night before a backpacking trip, and this property fit the bill. Check-in and check-out were easy. The room and shared bathrooms were clean. Other travelers seemed very respectful about keeping common areas clean and were quiet.
Parking is challenging, so be prepared to park a few blocks away. There is no elevator, so be sure you can easily carry your luggage up the stairs.

Amazing location, numerous restaurants and Trader Joes within 1 block radius. Local Tram was a coupe blocks away. Once we found a good street parking spot, the system they have is very good and well thought out.

cute decor, felt fairly private, no loud neighbors, nice bathroom, cute shops nearby
not that close to transport if you need to get to the other side of Portland, noisy outside, blinds are not effective for keeping light out so would've preferred curtains, owner left a poorly worded and fairly aggressive letter about payment that was dropped off at a strange hour. my recommendation is to call the guest on the phone in the future, or drop the notice off in the early evening so that you're not woken up to this type of message cause it set a bad tone for the rest of my stay when I was already working around the clock.
