MONDI Hotel am Grundlsee

Beautiful location, very friendly staff.

Air exhaustion for the breakfast cooking needs to be fixed in the buffet area.

Hotel location is excellent, amazing view from the terrace .Breakfast was amazing, everything anyone could want, evening meal was nice but limited menu.

Room was not great. The bed was stuffed into an alcove with no space at the side so you had to climb over the bed to get in to it and no bedside tables for watch / phone etc. The room was dated and tired, especially the very small bathroom.

Its view of the lake is absolutely enchanting.

No air conditioning

Bed and Location were amazing!!! Pool and saunas were lovely.

Parking involved quite an uphill walk as there were insufficient parking spaces for the number of guests. We arrived in the afternoon to be told, without any advance warning, that the only place to eat on site without driving was booked out (no room service or take away options, not even bar snacks). When we came back from dinner elsewhere, we had to park even further downhill. We generally found the staff fairly unwelcoming and got the feeling it was not a good place to work. Lockers at the pool required an extra charge (but we just chose not to lock up). No decaf options (coffee or tea) were available in the room. Vegetarian and vegan options for breakfast were okay, but options for dinner (we did get a spot on our second night) were very limited and not great. Shower heat and pressure were better in the pool than in our room. One bedside table for a double room was inconvenient. Just felt like it was striving for a luxury experience (and happy to charge for one), while also cutting corners.
