Fowey Hall Hotel

The location is excellent- walking distance to Fowey. The staff were helpful and the facilities were good - great pool and sauna.

Our “Cosy Room” was very cosy. In the roof so rather warm However it did have an excellent view. The EV chargers were often not available as non electric cars were parked there. Quite expensive.

Even during the adult only spa times, children playing / play fighting in the pool. Breakfast was very chaotic on the first day. We were informed that there was a big wait to order off the menu. A lot of tables needed cleaning, I think understaffed that day as the next day breakfast was more efficient. Room was very hot even though it was around 20 degrees outside.

Room very spacious. Free prosecco in fridge. Emily at the spa was attentive and helpful. Building looks nice from the outside.

Breakfast and staff attentiveness was not what you would expect for money paid. It was not the right hotel for us to spend our honeymoon/mini moon. We knew it was a child friendly hotel but seemed child-focused- right down to the spa (child friendly treatments and only two hours of adult-only pool time per day). Check in was lukewarm- didn’t get much in the way of welcome/explanation about facilities or meal timings. Mentioned on emails before our stay that it was our honeymoon- no one replied or mentioned it or cared at all which was a contrast to our previous hotel on the trip. Even saying congratulations would have been nice. We visited restaurants which made more of a fuss! Rang prior to trip to enquire about booking spa treatments- was told I could book on arrival. When we arrived and tried to book a treatment we were told spa was fully booked for our entire stay. Only managed to get to treatment due to Emily (an asset to this place) being flexible.
