good location and value, 3 mins walk to the night market, can easily find food around, family mart just at the opposite. laundry shop is nearby next street. room is clean and tidy, comfy as well.
I arrived after 4pm and there is staff at the counter but refuse to check in for me instead of asking me to use the kiosk. It is convenient but to check in multiple rooms you need to do it one by one, and that's is annoying.

I only stayed here on the weekdays. I'm told it is a much different place on the weekends.
It was quiet. The bed was comfortable. The shower had strong water pressure. The WiFi was fast.
It was a bit weird that there was no front desk staff here. The computerized self check in allows for hourly rentals, which apparently makes it a very popular place for certain types of people on the weekends.
My room also constantly smelled of garlic pork, but that's to be expected anywhere in China or Taiwan. At least it didn't also have the smell of raw sewage like many of the cheaper hotels in Taiwan.

The bedroom was comfortable and AC was working well.
On our last night there were pipe issues we had no cold water and the toilet was not flushing which made this night extremely uncomfortable, I had let the hotel staff know and they checked it and nothing was done about it. I would have appreciated a room change or a small compensation. Instead we had to stay with this issue for another day before we checked out.
