There are a number of A Place apartments around and nearby the Vrijdagmarkt square. There are plenty of cafes/restaurants/bars on the square as well as within walking distance (the apartment is in the middle of the historic center). Our apartment was on the third floor of a building directly overlooking the square. The room was large and very comfortable with a large bed, chairs and table for having cocktails/drinks/food and a nice size bathroom (toilet is located in a separate room so you can use both facilities at the same time). The view from the apartment is beautiful - very large windows (which can fully open) overlooking the square. We kept them open until the noise became too loud in the evening (Thur and Fri nights) and the turned the A/C on. The A/C drown out the noise on the square, so we didn't have problems sleeping. The check in process was seamless - we were given the front door code just before check-in time at 16:00 and the apartment key was left on the desk in the room. Check out was similar - we left the key on the desk and shut the door and left. There is no lift in the building in which we stayed - so the particular room we stayed in is not good for someone unable to walk up/down stairs.

Beautiful small apartment. Thoughtfully designed and in a beautiful location overlooking a square. Nice touches throughout including posters, books, coffee. A really atmospheric apartment for Antwerpen. Great location.
Late checkin time. Entryway being built. There is no kitchen area which was not an issue for us but something to be aware of.
