The host communicated promptly, they were friendly, welcoming and had great recommendations on food places, even shared where the closest market was at.
Not that I didn’t like but having to carry luggage up to the last floor can be tiring 😅

The apartment is in a fantastic central location, situated within the historic walls of Diocletian’s Palace. The apartment itself was spacious, comfortable and nicely presented.
It’s not often that I feel compelled to leave a negative review, but unfortunately our checkout experience was very stressful & disappointing.
Firstly, be aware of the payment arrangements. On checkout, we were told that payment had to be made by cash or bank transfer only, despite having a card registered through Booking.com. We found this both inconvenient and unexpected and slightly sceptical of making this type of payment.
My friend and I specifically chose this property because of the patio area, as we enjoy sitting outside with a glass of wine in the evening before going out. Unfortunately, the patio was not really usable during our stay because scaffolding and advertising netting had been placed directly in front of it. This was particularly disappointing, as the patio was one of the reasons we chose the property and paid slightly more than we normally would have.
There are also approximately 57 winding stone or marble steps leading to the apartment, so this is worth considering if you have mobility issues or are not particularly fit.
Overall, we had a lovely stay and thought the apartment itself was good. Sadly, however, the checkout experience left a negative impression. The woman handling the payment spoke very little English and was not particularly helpful, which made an already inconvenient payment process unnecessarily stressful.
With more flexible payment options and clearer communication with guests, this could be an excellent place to stay, especially given its superb location.

The proximity to everything was excellent.
The photo of the room was not what we received. The apartment was up 3 flights of stairs, so was very difficult to carry up 4 suitcases.
