Meneghetti Wine Hotel and Winery - Relais & Chateaux

What an amazing hotel experience. I visited with my mom at the end of May as part of her birthday gift, and the hotel made it truly special from the moment we arrived. We found a handwritten card and a bottle of wine waiting in our room, and later they even added a candle to our dessert at dinner. Such thoughtful touches. The arrival itself feels magical: a long driveway, a gated entrance, and a road that seems to lead nowhere. The hotel is beautifully secluded, making it the perfect place if you are looking for peace and quiet. Isabel welcomed us warmly upon arrival and personally showed us around the property and to our room. We stayed in Room 5, which was absolutely gorgeous, spread across two floors with our own private terrace and lounge beds. We decided to walk to the beach club, about 20 minutes away along a gravel road. It was completely worth it. The beach club is private, recently renovated, and offers stunning views along with delicious food. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was another highlight. The fresh asparagus, pasta with artichokes, and especially the ribeye were incredible. And of course, every wine we tried was excellent. Breakfast was equally impressive. It is served à la carte with a wide selection of options, plus fresh breads, meats, and cheeses brought to the table regardless of what you order. Honestly, I did not want to leave. Every staff member was genuinely kind, attentive, and welcoming. I have been coming to Croatia for more than 30 years and have stayed in many beautiful places, but this is absolutely one of the best experiences I have ever had, if not the best.

There is nothing we didn’t like, but note that this is a remote location and there is nothing around. If that is not what you are looking for, this is not your place.

Overall we had a truly fantastic stay in Meneghetti and we have immediately booked another stay in few weeks. :) We loved the general ambience, feeling of relaxation, elegance and sophistication. Our room was just right for our needs, we liked interior decoration, the gesture of welcome drink and welcome box. The nature is fantastic, professionalism, politeness as well as responsiveness of the employees (reception, spa, majority of waiters) meet high standards indeed. Ambience and music in the restaurant are very pleasant and enjoyable. We also asked for lunch package as we were heading on a long trip going back home - it was really very nicely prepared, we appreciated it as well as the waters and olive oil gift. My husband got a small very tasty cake for his birthday, it was really very attentive. Spa experience (massage and facial) was awesome. Last, but not the least - our dog had great time enjoying his welcome gift box. :)

Room service was a bit disorganised, each time we asked for a meal something was missed to be delivered.

Everything about this property was stunning. The accommodation was divine, the food delicious, the pool and beach both being a perfect place to enjoy the gorgeous weather. The staff were outstanding.

Room a good size but had to bend down to look out window, like being in a cavern. Eye wateringly expensive compared to any other 5 star stays we have had in the past few years.
