The location was great, with restaurants and a shuttle to the mountains just a 3-minute walk away. The private Onsen was fabulous after a day up the mountain. The owners were very friendly and helpful. They picked us up from the station in their shuttle bus, which was helpful. Thank you. We would definitely stay again.
The room was smallish for 5 of us; however, that seems to be pretty standard across Japan. Everything else was great.

The onsen is great after a big day on the slopes. The room was warm and large enough for us all we even cooked our own dinner one night instead of getting take away because they had everything you needed in the kitchen. The owners are absolutely lovely and helped us with luggage received and forwarding and dropped us back to the bus terminal on check out day. We loved having a drink in the dining room at the end of every day around the fireplace trying to support the owners a bit more than just buying at a convenience store and bringing back. It was a pleasure and we can’t wait to come back.
Everything was really great but if there had to be one thing it was just the mattresses on the bunks seem to sink where you lay so I could feel base of bed. It might have just been more noticeable after already being sore from spending the days on the slopes but definitely not a deal breaker we will most certainly be back regardless.

Onsen was amazing!
Mattresses are very thin and sagging, new thicker mattresses would make the stay ideal!!
