About this house rental
Situated in Newquay, this lovely house for $235 per night is a great choice for your next trip. WATCH THE SHORT VIDEO in photos section (item 3) to see our house and its amazing location and beach. This luxurious and spacious house is located at the heart of Crantock; a chocolate box pretty village with numerous thatched buildings. Clemens Beach House is situated on a secluded private lane which only leads to Crantock Beach, National Trust Headland and the South West Coastal Path. The house has stunning sea views from several windows and will comfortably sleep four people. There's a huge bedroom with a king size bed on the ground floor, and a double bed is in the mezzanine area at the top of the stairs. LOCATION,LOCATION,LOCATION It's all about style and location: turn left out of the drive and walk straight onto a path leading across the headland and down onto the beach, or to several other beautiful coastal walks including Polly Joke and Holywell Bay. A walk to West Pentire leads to C-Bay café- bistro with its stunning views of Crantock Beach, food served all day and a spa offering a variety of treatments; as well as a swimming pool and tennis court. Turn right and you are quickly In the centre of the village. The newly popular Jam Jar Kitchen is an excellent Pizza restaurant. The thatched and pretty Albion pub also sits in the heart of the village opposite the recently refurbished Cornishman pub, serving good food and hosting quiz nights and other entertainment. Both are a five minute walk away. A short drive offers a selection of restaurants, including the renowned Fish House at Fistral Beach. There’s easy access to many other excellent restaurants. Once home, sit and watch a glorious sunset, or just look at the sea, from the comfort of the huge comfy sofa and chair. The property has full central heating and lots of creature comforts . We offer our guests a warm welcome with homemade scones, clotted cream and strawberry conserve, accompanied by a chilled bottle of Prosecco. THE LAYOUT Your ground floor entrance hall leads to a large bedroom, with a king sized bed with super comfy mattress and room for a travel cot. The bathroom has a large walk-in shower. French windows lead out from the bedroom, onto a private garden terrace with a large corner sofa with a dining table. there's also two steamer chairs, table and and a Weber BBQ. There’s an outside shower (warm water!) for returning surfers and sandy dogs. Upstairs, all areas have sea views. The stylish, comfortable and spacious sitting room has a huge sofa, two big armchairs and a Smart TV. There's a very well equipped kitchen and dining area . A recessed mezzanine area at the top of the stairs, and next to the living room, has a double bed and more sea views. There are loads of photos and plenty of five star reviews. Please take a look and see what we have to offer. Clemens Beach House is a completely private addition to Clemens, the owner’s property; it has its own private entrance, and parking for up to two cars. The property has Wi-Fi. DOGS We are dog friendly and can accommodate up to two well behaved dogs. We request that dogs are not left unattended. We can arrange occasional dog-sitting services if required. BEACH Year round dog-friendly Crantock Beach has something for everyone: great waves for body boarders and surfers, water sports tuition and equipment hire including SUP boards and tuition. RNLI operates a lifeguard service during summer months. For walkers, there is direct access to the south-west coastal path and a variety of coastal walks are accessible directly from this property. The River Gannel estuary is idyllic for waterside walks, bird watching and stand-up paddle boarding. AREA Crantock is also a great central location for accessing a number of Cornwall’s best tourist attractions, including the Eden Project, the cathedral town of Truro, St Michael's Mount and the stunning harbour towns of St Ives and Padstow. Newquay, with a variety of attractions, restaurants, beaches and activities is only 3 miles away. DEPARTURE TIMES As Covid rules relaxed, we returned our departure time to 10.00 am. ROSAMUND PILCHER European travellers will recognise the centre of Crantock village as it is used frequently for filming episodes of a German TV drama series that is based on the novels of Cornish novelist Rosamund Pilcher. Other areas in Cornwall where filming of Rosamund Pilcher's novels takes place are a short drive away.

The apartment was amazing, very spacious, warm and cozy with a nice view of the sea.
Great beach and coastal walks only 10 minutes from the property.

Super clean with incredible views from upstairs.
The hosts were lovely and the scones and Prosecco on arrival were just what the doctor ordered after our long trip down from Yorkshire.
The location is perfect for explorers or those who don’t want to venture far as everything you might need is within walking distance.
I cannot rate this place highly enough - we hope to be back soon. Thank you so much for making our first trip to cornwall amazing.

The Beach House is in a fabulous location for the beach and for many walks, it is very well equipped and the decor is of a high standard and very clean.
My only criticism is that the second bed is at the top of the stairs a main thoroughfare so not much privacy for anyone sleeping there and not much storage space for clothes etc. My fault for not noticing in the pictures.
Despite that we had a lovely stay the host was welcoming and left us some beautiful homemade scones with cream & jam plus a bottle of Prosecco which was a lovely touch.

Didn't say that the 2nd bedroom was a mezzanine and open plan made it a bit awkward with my elderly aunt and uncle stayed for 3 nights..

We spent a week in this lovely home. Magic sunset views, a few minutes walk from dunes and coastal path as well as village. The house had absolutely everything one would need or hope for, and furniture, appliances and accessories were of good quality and in good nick. Our hostess was very friendly and helpful and provided all sorts of useful local info and even some tasty home backed scones and a prosecco! We really enjoyed our stay and we hope we can go back soon.

Our property was incredibly well maintained and suited 2 adults and one dog perfectly. The location is superb with local foot access to a beautiful beach. (not ideal for anyone with limited mobility). Ali was a superb host, very helpful but respected our privacy. There is limited cupboard storage for food but a huge fridge. All other elements of the property, including an outdoor shower!!! are excellent. Highly recommended

Absolutely brilliant location and our host Alison’s preparation and warm welcome for us was second to none. The view is stunning and there is a very short walk to the beach. Crantock village and amenities including two brilliantly vibrant eating pubs and a restaurant are a few minutes away. We love the cosiness of the house which was much better equipped than any that we have stayed in before. Definitely recommend and look forward to visiting again in the near future.

We had a perfect relaxing week staying at Clarens beach house. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished and very well equipped. The location was great, our dogs enjoyed their daily walks to the beach. We much appreciated the chilled Prosecco and cream tea left for us by the lovely friendly owners. Extremely handy for Crantock Village, and the beach. The fastest route to the beach is down a very steep dune that was no fun to climb, so I'd recommend going the long way round if you're as unfit as me.
The house was spotlessly clean and well-equipped and we were made to feel very welcome by the hosts. It's no surprise that the property books up quickly.

What a fantastic and superb holiday property, with inviting views over Crantock bay and the most stunning sunsets which you can watch from the sofa. However less than a 10 minute walk and you can be on the beach.
Everything was thought of, the property is immaculately presented, incredibly clean, comfortable and well equipped. The outside shower was an excellent addition for washing our sandy Golden Retrievers.
Ali and Freddie were very warm and welcoming, always on hand should we need any advice and gave us lots of tips. A lovely cornish cream tea awaited us on arrival and we were provided with fresh linens for our second week. We didn't want to go home but look forward to seeing you both again next year.

The property was amazing, very clean and furnished to a high standard. It was a home from home, beds were comfortable, kitchen had all the essentials you needed. Great to have an outside shower to wash away the sand before coming into the house. Nice that the outside area was private and secure for our son and dog. We had a lovely time staying at this property and highly recommend it. Thank you.

Loved the property which made the most of the seaview and sunsets with the loving room upstairs. So comfortable and spotlessly clean. Excellent location and 10 mins walk to beach. Outside warm shower a pure luxury. A wonderful stay and such a warm welcome.

Still on our way home and already looking at availability to return. Great accommodation and positioning for the beach and the best sunsets I've ever seen. The house is very comfortable and well equipped my only critique would be lack of clothes storage for a family of 4 (but i have 2 teenage girls) Crantock village is lovely with a couple of lovely pubs serving good food.

It really is as lovely as it looks in the photos! Welcoming bottle of fizz, fresh scones, cream and jam. Beautiful views over Crantock bay, saw some lovely sunsets. Private lane to Crantock beach if you can get over the sand dunes. Excellent base for exploring Cornwall, little more than an hour’s drive up to Tintagel, or down to Kynance Cove or Sennan. Less than an hour to Fowey or Trelissick. Great for exploring the stunning North Cornish coast and beaches.

A wonderful break for myself and dogs. A warm welcome, ideal location for some of the best beaches and walking that Cornwall has to offer. Spotless accommodation with everything you would need for a relaxing break. The warm shower outside was ideal for washing off muddy boots and sandy dogs. Friendly owners who were on hand if needed.
I fully support all the wonderful reviews already given and look forward to my next visit.

Excellent break
This property rates very highly amongst the many we have stayed at. Immaculate, welcoming, superbly provisioned and with a perfect location. We enjoyed a wonderful week and the walks across the sands of Crantock Bay were a delight. Our dog also thoroughly enjoyed himself!!

I can't fault this property.Very well equipped with everything you need. The second sleeping area adjoins the lounge and is fairly small,
but it wasn't an issue with us. I would like to return in warmer weather to appreciate the outdoor seating and bbq area.
