The receptionist was super friendly and helpful. Always happy to help and recommend places to go. There is a lift and rooms are clean and good size. Complimentary water bottles.

MD House is conveniently located in the old town, a short walk from major sites. It's showing its age, though, and rooms look dated and need renovation. That more worn-in feel can be welcome, especially if it's reflected in lower rates. And rates at MD House tend to be a lot lower than those for newer, tonier hotels in the same area.
Ancient sliding bolt locks on doors are difficult to open and close, and would cost very little to replace. Lights are also dated and provide only the most romantic illumination. The in-room safe was so old and rickety it provided very little (psychological) security, though the premises themselves are perfectly safe and under constant guard. Towels are of the lowest quality, a synthetic material that seems to repel rather than absorb water.
