Pleasant stay in a nice apartment with a good host

Very nice, modern and clean apartment. ideally placed between Omis and Macarska. The pool is right in front of the door - very inviting

Villa Marina

Had a lovely two night stay at villa Marina. Our host was just lovely and very welcoming. Her English was superb so communication was excellent. She couldn't have been more accommodating. Highly recommend this villa for a comfortable stay and beautiful sea view.

TV too small and sofa a little uncomfortable but these are minor details. Definitely would stay again

Never again!!! And I reread the website and still feel it is misleading!

The ocean view was great, but it is not a beachfront property as the pictures mislead us to believe. The property was clean and the beds fine, so if that is all you want you will be happy, but not at that price.

The pictures on the website don't match reality. Why would they show a picture of a sandy beach when the property is 300' above the sand. How do they define "villa"? This is an apartment building with a pool, 2-3 levels below. Not heated! Maybe too late in the season, mid September, but water too cold to swim or even just get in to cool off. The area is very clean with nice pool surroundings. Not private, especially for the guests directly on the pool deck. The inside is clean, but very stark and sterile. Not one picture on the walls. Don't know if the building is just finished construction, but it certainly gave that impression. The most un-welcoming and warm feeling property of our five nights stay with Booking.com and the most expensive Of all our night's stays, this property and location are the most disappointing! And the walk up the two, steep driveways, with luggage, was a bit overwhelming. Good thing I am only 74 years old! Better bring your own food and hike it up the hill also. The nearest restaurant? We were told, was only 400 meters further down the highway. No sidewalk, so you walk along the shoulder of the highway with cars and buses speeding by at fast speeds. We didn't leave our room once we arrived until the next morning. So glad they arrived for a taxi to pick us up at the top of the hill where our apartment was. I could never explain to the taxi driver how to get to our location. What did I miss in reading the website? I got no feel for this type of experience looking at the sixteen pictures selling me on this expensive overnight stay. I am sorry, for both parties, to share this experience!

Nice sea view

Apartment with sea view has actually direct sea view without any obstacles. You can have breakfast on the balcony watching sea. The dog could watch the sea all day. There is a possibility for hiking up the hill on a infrequently used road.

The drive path is a bit tight and steep, however it is not a problem to arrive. There are not many restaurants close, so be sure to manage food/coffee in some other way. The grocery store is 10 minutes by foot, but the road does not have proper borders, so be careful in the evening.

the drive up to the property- parking was free which was great but access was not easy. Also beach that was close by was only reached by long, hard uphill/downhill walk. not suitable for anyone who is not reasonably fit and a car is very important out of main season as many restaurants close on 1st September.

Nice view and a very comfortable room

The Host was very nice, friendly and helpful. The view was stunning, even though we had the smallest room.

Unfortunately the kitchen had no spices like salt or pepper or any oil for cooking. But the supermarket was quite near and had everything you needed. Also it is recommended to travel by car, because it was quite difficult to catch the bus.

Not again

It was the right price and clean

The road to get there was like a 4 wheel drive track , The tv didn’t work no channels Internet was terrible only worked in the entrance way And it was advertised as beachfront when in fact it’s perched high up on the side of the hill and the walk to get to the beach is something only a goat could succeed at , The wind blew all night and it sound like the roof was going to come off

Fabulous

Amazing sea view. We had apartment on 2nd floor (2/3). Location was good. It was really quick to go the beach, but you have to count with crossing the kind of rush road (but not impossible to do it) and almost 100 stairs. But it is worth it, really clean water and bautiful nature. It is good to have a car in this area. It is possible to park right next to the apartment. Owner Marina was really kind and helpful during our stay.

There are no sidewalks next to the road. Driveway to the apartment house is up to hill. I think it is common in this area, but is good to count with that you need some skills to drive and park there.

Comfortable for two days

Apartment with a great view, are situated 6 km from Omis. We liked to cook seafood there, you can find grill there and to swim in the pool. Beaches are not so comfortable, as you need to go only by car, if you go by foot it will be difficult to comeback because the apartment is on the hill.

There is no salt and sugar , oil or even tea in the apartment, so you need to buy everything. Usually when we stay in apartments these things are supplied.

Quiet, cosy apartment with stunning view to the bay

The host is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are nice, very clean and have a beautiful view with a balcony looking to the near bay and Makarska. There is a nice beach with bar, restaurants, shop nearby.

The house is on the hill, you need to “climb up” with your car, which requires some driving skills, but its fine.

Spacious apartment with swimming pool and sea view.

Friendly owner who gave us all the information we needed, also about our road ahead. Swimming pool is pleasant (open until 8pm). Very spacious living room with kitchen and balcony with sea view.

Slightly noisy; we were woken up at 6am by loud baby cries, and afterwards by voices in the adjacent stairwell. The best place to have a restaurant meal or an evening stroll is the nearest town of Omis, but that is a 6km drive. To get to the waterfront is a bit of a walk, as the apartment is located on a steep hill.

Excellent vacation

Pool, grill and the host.

It was very pleasant holidays in Villa Marina. A nice clean pool, gas grill, cosy air conditioned apartments. Dragana was very friendly and hospitable. Location is not far from the beach.

Very good

Host was very nice to us, allowed earlier check-in. Apartment was with a swimming pool that kids loved, pool was clean. Apartment could benefit from a refreshed furniture but it is not bad.

Be careful if you have a very low car as the approach is a bit steep.

The hostess, Dragana, was amazing and went out of her way to assist with all. We learnt so much about the Croatian way from her, just take the time and ask. She is a source of knowledge. As for the venue, nice walks in the area, a little too steep for me to walk back from the beach, but as we had a car this was not an issue.

Beautiful location!

Beautiful views. You can’t be depressed, just look out one of the numerous windows or doors. And if you’d like to sleep in after a late night, just pull down the shades that cover all of them. The beach trail is literally just down the hill and across the street, so there’s no excuse not to take a stroll along the water‘s edge. Our terrace faced south looking towards Brac Island and we had sun all day long. We spent Christmas here and even though it’s supposed to be winter in Croatia, for an American from Virginia it is not that cold here.

Maybe a bigger hot water heater because somebody likes long hot showers and she has lots of hair, a problem I don’t really have any more LOL.

A gem near Omiš

Very friendly and pleasant staff/owner. The suite we had offers beautiful sea views with balcony access from both your bedroom and the living room. Fantastic views from the kitchen looking toward Baska Voda. The location is about 8km from Omiš and across the main road from the water (There is a staircase that goes down to little quiet beaches which has a garbage bin and even an outdoor shower). The suite was well equipped with everything we needed, was simple, clean and a good size.
