Cool Vibes Beach Hostel

The hostel had a really nice kitchen and a nice common area to sit in. It’s extremely close to the beach a four minute walk. The staff are exceptionally kind and helpful. I think it’s really reasonably priced. I know it’s a little bit hokey, but it really does have a cool vibe. I was there during off-season. The town is really cute. There are so many nice bars and restaurants. The staff made a suggestion about a nearby restaurant that has a gorgeous view of the ocean and has monkeys as you drive on to the property, I forget what the name of the restaurant is but it’s really exceptional and not expensive. The best thing about this facility is the young man and woman who work the check-in desk. My son has been to this hostel before and really enjoyed his time here. He actually made some lifelong friends because he stayed there. It was nice to see it.

The facilities oddly had non-operational sinks, which threw me off a little bit.

The place looks really nice, a good first impression. The rooms are spacious and clean. I love that there's a bathroom inside the dorm! The kitchen is big and clean. The common area is really nice. Location is great, close to everything around. Staff is nice.

I did not like the fact that there were so many families with kids staying at the hostel. Every time I wanted to get into the pool it was occupied by the whole family, and the kids playing there just killed the vibe for me... nothing against kids ! Love them.. but it was NOT the vibe I expected when going to a hostel called cool vibes.. :/ and the situation did not allow me to relax and cool down in the pool as much as I wanted. After 3 days there the water in the pool did not look so clean. I also didn't like the fact that the dorms are mixed. The woman staying with me said she saw one of the men staying with us, pleasuring himself in the middle of the night. So I didn't feel super comfortable sleeping there with men around. Also someone took my beer from the fridge, with my name on it, on the first night. I guess I wasn't so lucky when it comes to the people who were there during my stay.
