Friendly staff who, realising we were English people with quite good French, didn't impose English on us; accommodation wasn't fancy but was good value for money; good to have safe and free parking, and the hotel is perfectly located in a delightful small town. The garden is lovely for eating outside.
I'd have liked a wider choice at breakfast, and PLEASE serve coffee in a lidded pot so it stays warmer!

Very well located in the centre of Chauvigny. Very clean and comfortable room although small. Free parking and helpful and friendly staff. Couldn't fault at all

We had asked for a twin room and were initially given a double, but the lady on reception was happy to make the change for us. The rooms were clean and tidy and nicely decorated. We were also lucky and got one of the few parking spaces in the hotel courtyard.
There was no air conditioning and we were staying during a heatwave. This led to a very hot and uncomfortable night's sleep. We were in what was called the 'annex' on the ground floor and it was noisy. The lady on reception told us there was no air conditioning in the hotel and yet there was a unit on the wall opposite our window which was very noisy during the night. Breakfast was very limited and frankly over priced for what was on offer. We were charged 78.80€ for the room and are wondering why that was when there was a card at the front of the hotel stating that double and twin rooms were 68€?
