About this house rental
Villa Bazjaki is located on the edge of the tiny hamlet of Bazjaki, facing southwards and with uninterrupted views of the Mirna Valley and the historic town of Motovun, famed for its annual film festival. The house has been rebuilt using the original stone from the ruin found on the site when it was bought by its present owners in 2004. It has four double bedrooms, two of them en suite and will comfortably accommodate 8 people. There is a huge open living space, comprising kitchen, dining and sitting areas. The communal living areas have a beautiful stone floor and the bedroom floors are made from oak boards. The furniture is a primarily a mixture of antiques sourced from England and locally in Istria. The house has large windows and high ceilings creating a great feeling of light and space.
There is also a large terrace for open air dining and barbeque.
The house sits in over 4000 square metres of private garden with stunning views across the valley towards Motovun. There is a 9 x 4 metre infinity pool with plenty of space around the pool for sun loungers. Around the substantial lawned area are dotted huge stones taken from the original house and now acting as garden features.
There is a Bose "ipod" dock available for use.
There is also a large terrace for open air dining and barbeque.

This is a beautiful house, probably one of the best looking holiday homes we have ever stayed in - and we've stayed in a lot. As the photos show, it is beautifully furnished, with real care. Everything worked, from the cooker to the showers to the air con - talking of which, there's a unit behind a sofa which we didn't spot for a few days! Well equipped kitchen. Outside, a lovely pool and large garden space.
Communication with Tamara was excellent- she responded quickly to any queries.
There's no shade at the back of the house in the middle of the day though to be fair the house description does indicate that there isnt. Also, the houses next door are a large holiday let so a bit luck of the draw as to your neighbours. Having said that, they were only noisy on one evening of our stay.
We had a great time, would really recommend the villa. And the very reasonably priced Konoba Oprtalj is knockout, in lovely atmospheric village of same name just up the hill. Tagliatelle with truffles - yum!

Wir hatten superschöne zwei Wochen! Das Haus liegt ruhig in den Bergen mit einem wunderschönen Blick auf Motuvun. Das Haus ist total schön eingerichtet und es fehlte an nichts. Die Ausstattung (Küche, Badezimmer usw) ist genial gewesen. Für unsere Jungs stand sogar ein Kicker auf der Terrasse . Die Vermieterin war sehr sehr freundlich und hat uns immer sofort auf unsere Mails geantwortet! Nach einer Woche wurde sogar das Haus gereinigt. Der Pool war durchgehend sauber! Also alles absolut genial! Es war ein Traum für uns! Vielen Dank nochmal
