Attractive old building, easy walk from Gold Museum, San Francisco, Bolívar Square and other central sites. Friendly and helpful staff, all speak sone English (one speaks good English). You have to ring the bell for admission, and they don’t open the inner gate till they have confirmed who you are. Comfortable beds.
Breakfast no more than adequate - frosted cereal , bread and jam, and two sorts of fruit. Bit served in pleasant courtyard and you can find other food nearby.

Highly recommend Hostal La Candelaria, friendly staff that are available 24 hours. Great location. Can walk to plaza Bolivica and to the base on Monserrat easily. Safe location. Comfortable clean rooms.
