The apartment was roomy and had all of the basics
From the listing, the exterior views from the property looked far nicer and did not show that the view was marred by an old industrial parking garage, and the listing photos of the swimming pool look like they may have been concept photos from when it was built. The exterior looked worn and the access to the unit was through 2 elevator rides ( down 8 floors from the street level) and up and down many stairs, with luggage. It would’ve been nice to know this in the listing. On the other hand, the parking lot was excellent behind gates.
In the interior, the very first thing we noticed when we walked in the apartment was a blue turquoise couch that looked extremely soiled. It definitely did not make the best first impression, but the rest of the apartment was quite nice and roomy, and you have no complaints at all. The one thing vacation should be aware of. Is that everything from the unit above can be heard in the unit below. It’s very difficult to sleep and the noise sounded amplified. It would be beneficial if the owner or management company put cushions on the bottom of the chairs in the kitchens because every time the chair is pulled out it sounds like a large piece furniture is being drowned across the floor above

Generally very clean and well fitted out. Great to have a pool on site - rare for this area and a good size
It was pretty good, but the sofa was quite grubby. And not sure about Pinocchio decor!

The apartment itself was very clean, good size and reasonably comfortable with plenty of storage space and good sized balcony with sea views (we’ll come to that later). It was conveniently located a short 5 min walk away from the Main Street where all the shops cafes restaurants and bars are. It also offered parking (this was an extra charge). Pretty well equipped with everything you’d need for a weeks stay. Coffee machine and coffee provided.
The entrance to the block of apartments, communal areas and lifts were really uninviting. They were badly lit and poorly maintained. Just looked and felt old and grubby. We had to go down one lift 5 flights, walk along to the next lift and go down another 3 flights. Not ideal for lugging baggage. The view from the apartment would be beautiful if it wasn’t for the fact that it faced onto a huge ugly car park with a circular ramp. It’s just not what you’d want to look into when sitting on your balcony. If you look beyond that you can see the sea.
The pool area was closed when we were there but we wouldn’t have used it anyway. Again it looked into the public car park so the setting wasn’t nice. Area also looked dirty and not well maintained.
Only one key provided which caused problems for our family of 4 if we were doing separate things. The key has to stay in the apartment for the electricity to work so if someone else is going out, they need to rely on the person in apt coming up 8 flights of stairs opening the gates to the car park.
