About this condo rental
Situated in Takitumu District, this lovely condo for $182 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. Set off the back road in Vaimaanga Casa del Sol is true to its name – house in the sun. This listing is for one of two tastefully appointed 3 bedroom 2 bathroom Villas which offer spacious open plan living while allowing you to seclude to one of 3 bedrooms. The layout for the two villas is identical and each villa can sleep up to 7 adults. The property is set in a landscaped garden with splendid views of the Vaimaanga (water mountains). A seasonal stream borders to the West which adds to the tranquility of the property and excitement for young explorers. There are numerous seasonal fruit trees (coconut, Jack fruit, bananas and paw paw and chili) which guests may help themselves to. The Villas share a 36sqm salt water swimming pool which has a large shallow area (step) for seating or for children to enjoy. Please note the pool is NOT fenced and therefore children need to be supervised at all times. We understand the value in happy and entertained young ones and therefore have a special area dedicated just for them! A custom designed tree house which also has a slide, climbing frame and sand pit and small swing. We have a range of baby/toddler gear including porta cot, high chair, back pack carrier, toilet training seats, portable high chair and of course toys, books and kids movies. The Villas are located 400m (walking distance) to arguably the best beaches on south west side of Rarotonga. The snorkeling and marine life are abundant in the south west part of the lagoon and easily accessible (no major rocky entrances). The Villas are within 2 kms from a few Cafes, restaurants and the Wigmores superette. There is also a day spa and golf driving range within 2km. We are approximately 16km from Avarua town centre. The property has prepaid WIFI which, at time of publishing $50 for 3GB, an on site laundry facility and also baby sitting and airport transfer services at extra charge. We absolutely loved our stay here. The set up is perfect, everything has been thought of. The outdoor living area gives heaps of shaded space. The fans in the rooms are excellent, the best we've ever seen and having two bathrooms was great. The kitchen is so well stocked and the swimming pool fabulous for cooling off in when we weren't swimming at the beach. The owners were so friendly and helpful and the young men that looked after us were very attentive. We would love to come back and hire both villas!

Excellent accommodation in a beautiful location. Adi and Obi couldn’t have been more helpful or less intrusive. If we get to return to Rarotonga, this is where we’ll stay!

Best stay in Raro - hands down!
My family, 2 adults and 2 children (ages 5 & 8) stayed with Deon & Marcelle for 5 nights and wished it was longer! ( total stay 3 weeks between Raro and Aitutaki)- The accommodation is absolutely brilliant on many levels. The accommodation layout itself is superb with dramatic views of some of Raros best hillsides.
Beyond all of what our eye captured and what our camera could not, our hosts did not lack! - Deon, showed us the lay of his land which included everything from chili trees, banana trees, mango trees, a coconut harvest station which included a lot of points on coconut picking to harvest.
The pool side is beyond photos. We can’t believe that we had the dramatic background in every photo. - This accommodation provided everything needed. (Side note - best snorkeling on the whole island is located east of Wigmores grocery shop - about a block or so from the accommodation)
We feel SO blessed to have met both Deon and Marcelle and their little ones. Look no further upon booking your Raro stay! They have EVERYTHING you may need for your island time get away! (As a fussy mussy traveller that has an expectation far higher than the average - BOOK THIS PLACE!) xoxoxox Kristin.

Didnt want to leave this place.
I cant rate Casa Del Sol highly enough for a private family getaway. We absolutely loved it, from the gardens, utilities, pool, playground, comfy beds and great furniture for lazing around in. The hosts & staff are particularly lovely. We didn't need to ask for much because the units are set up very efficiently. But when we did ask, they went above and beyond. I will be going back to Casa Del Sol for sure. If you stay here, then be respectful, because there has certainly been a lot of love and effort put in to it so guests can enjoy their stay. AND you WILL. Thank you Deon, Marcelle & everyone at Casa Del Sol for a wonderful holiday. The house truly is a gift from the Gods.

Amazing stay - 100% recommend
We had a brilliant stay at Casa del Sol. It's 5 minutes' walk back from the beach but a charming and beautifully outfitted place that is awesome for families with plenty of rooms, a massive covered deck if it rains/gets too hot, an excellent kitchen/bathrooms/bedrooms, a great pool and a big kids playground complete with trampoline.
Hosts Marcelle & Dion were excellent. We had an issue with the local internet provider and Marcelle spent hours chasing them to fix it and then refunded us the cost from her own pocket. Marcelle and Dion (who build the house himself) were super relaxed and helpful, and had great local knowledge and recommendations for activities and eateries.
To top it all off their lovely staff Lynn & team did babysitting for us one night and cooked us a beautiful meal another night on the house when we had people going to the airport to make our evening easier.
Can't speak highly enough of them. 10/10!

Casa Del Sol was the perfect place for a mid winter getaway from NZ! We arrived late at night and we’re all blown away at how gorgeous the property was (even at 11pm). The gardens have created privacy in between the villas so you don’t feel like you are invading the neighbouring villa. Everything was so well maintained and Marcelle and Dion were wonderful hosts. Dion even brought coffee, cinnamon scrolls and cake over for us to enjoy, Our daughters lived in the pool which was the perfect configuration with a shallow area that our three year old felt safe and secure in. The beach which is less than a five minute all from the Villas is stunning! So clear and mostly calm while we were there. This is somewhere we will probably become regulars at. They have created a beautiful oasis in paradise.

We would definitely recommend staying at The Casa Del Sol especially if you have children and teenagers who will enjoy hanging out in the awesome swimming pool and deck area. Excellent villa and hosts. Villa very well appointed, spacious and in a great location for getting about the islands. Hosts were lovely and available whenever needed. We had a great stay and highly recommend this villaro others.
