About this condo rental
Situated in Ghent, this charming condo for $122 per night is a great choice for your next break. Modern and stylish apartment equipped with every comfort and a good atmosphere. Excellent location with parking at the door. Bedroom with a large comfortable divan bed, complete with a makeup table and sloel, a large mirror, easy lounger and a small built-in cupboard. This room has a quiet air conditioning ideal for those hot summer nights. Make yourself comfortable in the living room with sofa, a large LED TV with free on-demand movie offerings through digicorder, free WIFI, high speed internet, books and magazines. Feel right at home in the fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, oven, microwave, large fridge freezer, Senseo coffee machine, kettle, toaster ... In addition free of charge upon arrival a bottle of chilled mineral water (1L) and a bottle of juice (1L), instant coffee, some Senseo coffee pads, tea and biscuits or snack. Bathroom with rain shower (hot / cold water), sink and toilet. Including each a fresh, soft towel set (plus shower gel / shampoo). There is a hairdryer, iron and ironing board. The terrace is perfectly suitable for a breakfast in the morning. The sofa in the living room easily converts to an extra bed. The apartment has its own entrance. Also removed a stone's throw is the new football stadium of Ghent Ghelamco Arena, sports centers include Blaarmeersen, University Hospital, Flanders Expo, several business centers, the University of Ghent. We have near a Sunday market, a flea market, several theaters, cinemas, zwemkom etc. Ghent is a beautiful historic town, perfect for shopping, visiting museums, stroll or eat out. Due to its location Ghent is ideally located to visit other cities such as Bruges, Brussels and Antwerp or even Lille in France. These are all reachable in about 40 minutes by train or car. The Brussels International Airport can be reached in 45 minutes by car car, taxi, airport shuttle or train. During office hours we can offer office services: print / scan / fax / copy / email / phone or other office services. Usually there is parking available in front of the house for only € 5 per 24 hours and free on Sundays and holidays. In addition, we own free parking. Located in the city center of Ghent, this apartment is perfect for either a short or long stay in this beautiful city. It is located near the south park in an easy to find nearby. Shops, museums, cafes and most attractions can be reached within 10 to 15 minutes walking distance. If you prefer to take public transport, the apartment is located less than 80 meters from all major bus and tram lines.

Very nice place, and the owner was helpful. The only problem was the very hot days made it tough to keep the place from being an oven. We were grateful that the bedroom at least had AC!

Everything about our stay was amazing. Joost was a wonderful host. He reached out to us with all of the necessary information well before we arrived and checked in while we were there. The apartment was better than advertised. When we arrived there was water and juice waiting for us as well as snacks. The location is perfect for exploring Ghent. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We very much enjoyed our stay at this property. The apartment was spotlessly clean. The kitchen was extremely well stocked with every kind of gadget you could need. My only concern is that there are two sets of fairly steep stairs which might be a problem for some people it wasn’t for us, and our stay was terrific.

Very nice place, owner and location!
A very nice apartment with the master bedroom and bathroom on the upper floor and the living room (including a comfortabele couch that can be transformed into a bed) and the kitchen on the floor below (the entrance is on the lowest floor). We had a warm welcome in a very clean apartment with some groceries in the kitchen (coffee, water, some cookies). Very nice! We stayed three nights with two young children and there was a baby bed for the toddler. The staircase is right in between the bathroom and bedroom without any door, so children should be looked after upstairs, to not fall down the stairs.
The apartment is near a relatively busy road but you cant hear that inside when the windows are closed. And it's about a 25-minute walk to the city center.
We really enjoyed our stay!!

Wonderful Stay in Ghent Townhouse
We met Joost at his business next door, parked our rental car right in front (free parking), and were able to check in early. Everything was spotless, nice sized kitchen, comfortable living room, excellent bed, and amazing bathroom. There were no surprises. HIs maps of the city were very useful as we explored the neighborhood and Ghent Centrum. We walked everywhere, buses were available nearby though. A small grocery was nearby for meats, cheeses, and wine. Recommend this place without hesitation.

Appartement très cosy!
Nous avons passé un agréable séjour dans cet appartement confortable et soigné. Nous avons apprécié la disponibilité et l'amabilité de notre hôte, très à l'écoute de ses locataires. L'accès à la vieille ville est très pratique avec le tramway à deux pas de la maison, et le parking, public bien que très convoité est possible avec l'aide du propriétaire. Attention toutefois à l'escalier un peu raide pour les personnes à mobilité réduite! La situation de la maison permet aussi des découvertes vers Bruges ou la Hollande proche!

We hebben een prima kort verblijf gehad in dit comfortabele appartement op loopafstand (10-15 minuten) van het centrum. De foto's doen recht aan het appartement dat twee verdiepingen telt. De eigenaar woont vlak bij het appartement en geeft aanvullende informatie over Gent en de omgeving. De keuken, woonkamer, badkamer en slaapkamer (ruim bed, goede matrassen) zijn goed uitgerust. Ook zijn fietsen, tegen meerprijs, te huur. Kleine minpuntjes zijn de niet optimale telefonische bereikbaarheid (bandje zonder inspreekmogelijkheid) van de eigenaar - kan toeval zijn - en het gegeven dat de enige toilet zich in de badkamer op de slaapverdieping bevindt.

Excellent apartment and location!
Joost's is a wonderful, accommodating host who makes you truly feel like a special guest. He is very helpful even well before arrival with providing directions and tips for getting to and staying in Gent. "Customer service" is five star. The apartment itself is beyond excellent. It is very modern, well maintained, and even better than the description. The two stories and small patio makes it feel even roomier than it is, and the location is ideal. Set back from the street makes it quieter and even though there is a tram stop 100 meters away, we didn't find it necessary because less than a 10 minute leisurely walk put us in the market center. If you are driving into Gent it is also a very easy property to get to. The price and quality are unbeatable and I recommend this to anyone who is interested in staying in Gent. We stayed 10 days and I would stay 10 more if I have the chance.

Joost was a wonderful host. The apartment is close to public transportation. The apartment was nicely furnished and the neighborhood has restaurants within walking distance. Gent is a wonderful city to stay in and explore Belgium. I would highly recommend this apartment.

Wonderful
Huis van Vletingen was perfect for us. Parking out the front, convenient to the tram and bus, a supermarket and laundromat a short walk away, the main sights of Ghent just down the road, a terrific local restaurant (Eethuis de Fobie) on the next corner - what more could you ask for. The apartment is very modern, clean, bright, spacious, comfortable , thoughtfully furnished and quiet. It is also very well equiped with everything you might need and Joost provides a welcome pack of juice, coffee, tea, snacks etc. which was most welcome. Joost lives and works next door so he is available if there are any problems and he was very prompt and efficient to deal with when we were making the booking. We would recommend Huis van Vletingen unreservedly as an excellent place to stay when visiting Ghent.
Don't forget to have a look at the beguinage next door! Either with your own transport or by train, Ghent is a perfect base for visiting Brussels, Bruges and Antwerp and is a charming and very interesting town in its own right. Don't miss it.

A perfect location and experience in Ghent
This apartment was the highlight of several accommodations for our recent 2-week vacation in Europe. It's very modern and comfortable. My family enjoyed the programmable LED lights! It's a short walk to the downtown area and a market is close by. The owner lives next door and was very nice and helpful. We were able to keep our rental car parked in his business's parking lot which was very helpful to us. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

This is a great place to stay in Gent. We wished we could have stayed longer. A very convenient location for walking to the sites and many terrific restaurants, yet parking in front of the flat is not difficult either. The flat is in perfect condition and has everything you need. Joost is a perfect host. What more could you ask for?

Stayed here in May 2014. Wonderful apartment. Joost could not have been more helpful. It was raining when we arrived. Joost kept a look-out for us & met us with a large umbrella. Showed us round the apartment & gave us loads of info about local shops, transport etc. Very highly recommended for a perfect stay in beautiful Gent.

Wonderfully modern apartment
The apartment was exactly as described and pictured in the listing. It was very clean and showed no signs of where. Location was great. It took us about 15 minutes to walk to the center of town. And, about a block away there was transportation that took us to the train station for an easy visit to both Brussels and Brugges. We did not move our car after parking it outside the apartment -for free. Jobst was extremely helpful with a great restaurant recommendation. He was very proud of his apartment and it was evident by the decor, comfort and technology that was in it. We wish our stay was longer than it was but would gladly return here again

My wife and I spent a full week in this newly modeled rental. Every aspect of the unit exceeded our
Expectations. Clean, everything in the bathroom and kitchen works perfectly. Near tram and bus lines, and a short walk to the city center
The owner and host , Joost is the nicest guy, helpful when needed, but not obtrusive. He has a business right next door, so he is always available for advice or a recommendation.
In short, a great place to stay in Ghent. Remember, there are 2 (easy) flights of stairs from ground level.
The apt is very roomy and quiet. Enjoy!

Errol and Margaret's stay in Gent
Our holiday to Gent was made even more wonderful due the to fact that this luxury apartment was perfect in every way. Everything in the apartment was the finest quality. The kitchen was fully equipped and even had a dish washer. All linen was of the finest standard, as was the huge comfortable bed. As the apartment has central heating, it is ideal even for a winter break to Gent. We enjoyed the small outside eating area too. Joost the owner is such a Gentleman, keen to help in anyway and even allowed us to park next door at his shop. We would like to highly recommend this property to anyone wishing to visit the wonderful city of Gent.

A fabulous apartment with a nice luxe touches
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this new and modern apartment, a quick 15 minute walk in to the heart of Gent's old town. We enjoyed some nice luxury touches (such as fluffy towels, a divine bed, doona and pillows). The apartment was spotless and the kitchen was fully equipped - we may have even been the first to use the oven! There was cable TV which we barely watched.
Joost (the host) was very friendly and quick with all communications. He also allowed us to park for free outside his shop downstairs.
The area was safe, but looked very run down. However, all of Gent's finest attractions are a short walk away.
Note that this apartment is split over three levels; 1 - entry, 2 - kitchen/living/dining/terrace, 3 - bedroom and bathroom, so keep this in mind if you don't like stairs.
I'd recommend this apartment and would stay here again if we ever return to beautiful Gent.

We had a wonderful experience in Gent with a great host who catered to our every need. The unit was extremely clean, very functional, and a 10 minute walk to the main square. We felt very safe, Internet was fast and functional. Well appointed unit.
We would highly recommend this to anyone and we also loved Gent. A beautiful city with more to see than you can imagine. We had planned on making Gent our base and traveling from there but we never left Gent. A very quaint place in the world. Also the owner of the unit is always available as he has a shop next door and lives above his shop.
