The hotel is located about a 4 minute drive from the centre of town and if you don't have a car the hotel operates an hourly shuttle to and from the town centre. The hotel doesn't look much from the road, however once inside you realise the full extent of it. Well shaded walkways through lush gardens and ponds, a well maintained swimming pool, multiple bars and restaurants, fitness centre and spa.
The rooms, even the smaller options, are spacious and very comfortable with lots of storage and an enormous ensuite. Apparently the whole complex was designed by a famous Japanese architect. It's well past it's prime now, but is well maintained and very reasonably priced. It is favoured by visiting military personnel and offshore oil workers as they transit Labuan.
Food in the restaurant is top class and reasonably priced.
Wi-fi was excellent, a consistent 500 MBS upload and download, almost unheard of in hotels.
Because there is an airforce base very close by, 4-5pm can be pretty noisy with military jets circling overhead, however, and thankfully they don't seem to operate after dark. We stayed midweek when prices were less than half the weekend rate, practically nobody in the hotel and as such was excellent value. Weekend rates offer significantly less value.

Size of suite. Restaurant options were good. Pool was nice and parking for hire car was easy.
Was a little dated and climate makes maintenance a challenge. Staff very helpful but no phone in room, despite having contact numbers, issues with items on menus not being available and some slight problems with translations ( we do acknowledge English speaking staff better than our ability to speak Malay )

I like the alfresco pool and the friendly staff trying to make my stay more pleasant.
I don't like the villa. Pool amd landscape at villa side not well maintained and far from what is seen on picture. It is like a separate world from the resort shown in pictures. Water quality of pool in villa side is bad - seems like no cleaning and maintenance at all.
Housekeeping at villa side is bad too. Hardly have anyone in sight.
No hand towels, no hairdryer no floor mat at villa side - need to walk to resort reception to get on my own.
The walk from villa to reception lobby is not well-paved, not maintained and not sheltered. It was raining - walk to lobby to reach my GRAB pick up at lobby is daunting especially when it was dark. The whole path is not sheltered, not lit, not paved and not maintained.
The stove in the villa is not properly cleaned. Stain with oil! Only 3 sets of plates, cutlery but my villa for 6 paxs.
I need to get everything from the reception at the resort side and the walk there is not nice at all.
