歴史的な大雪のため新千歳空港の飛行機が飛ばず、途方に暮れていたとき、札幌市で予約が取れたのが「あさ野ホテル」でした。新千歳エアポートに６０分並んで、９０分かけて新札幌駅に着きました。当ホテルに着くと、社長自ら接客してくださったうえ、気さくに話しかけてくださり、飛行機が飛ばなかった疲れが一気に吹き飛びました。近くの「大通り食堂」のオヤジが絶品で、カキフライ定食が美味しかったです。静かなお部屋で暖房もしっかり効いて、熟睡できました。飛行機が飛ばなかったおかげで「あさ野ホテル」に宿泊できたと逆に感謝するほどになりました。また札幌に来たときは「あさ野ホテル」に宿泊したいです。

This is a great place to stay in Sapporo. Not quite in the center of the city, but the neighborhood was quiet and peaceful and easy to walk to Odori Park area. The staff was lovely, the room was quiet spacious and bedding was comfortable. If you have the chance, check out the Gundam bar/lounge next door owned by the owner as well.
The bathroom was quite tight, but a decent tub and was all that was needed.

大通まで、散歩がてら歩いてもいけるぐらい（途中、大通公園の中を歩ける）街なかに近い場所。部屋は昭和の集合住宅の一室みたいな感じですが、お布団は清潔な感じだった。札幌に用事があってとりあえず便利な場所に一晩泊まる分にはOKなお部屋。
部屋に置いてあるヒーターみたいなのが油まみれの上に半透明のビニールのカバーがかけてある様子で、あまりまじまじと見たくない感じだった。冬に宿泊するとあれを使うことになるのかな？
