Set in a typical eastern Algarve village this spectacular large modern villa is equipped and furnished to high standards throughout. All rooms are very spacious and the house easily accommodates 10 adults. The impressive large and spacious lounge overlooks the south facing garden and open countryside, offering dramatic views of both sea and mountains from the garden and also from the very large roof terrace. There are large open spaces outside, including BBQ area, outside shower, very large patio with terrace furniture, large table and chairs for al fresco dining and sun loungers to ensure your stay has every comfort. The large garden, with its established trees, terraces and 8m fresh water pool (with pool fence) provides your personal oasis, as long as you can resist the fantastic nearby family-friendly beaches of which some of the finest include Monte Gordo, Praia Verde, Altura, Manta Rota, Cacela Velha, Fabrica, Cabanas and Tavira - all just a few minutes drive from the villa! The ancient town & regional centre of Tavira is approx 10 mins away. You can also drive to Spain in 20 minutes or why not take the passenger ferry boat from Vila Real de Santo Antonio to the Spanish town of Ayamonte!. Local Golf: The Eastern Algarve is famous for its excellent golf facilities - there are six 18-hole courses all very close to Santa Rita: Quinta da Ria -18 holes, Par 72, 6,016m designed by Rocky Roquemore and Quinta de Cima - 18 holes, Par 72, 6,256m the new sister course next to Quinta da Ria - both courses are just 2 Km from the house! Benamor Golf - 18 holes, Par 71, 5,500m designed by Sir Henry Cotton - situated near Conceiçao just off the EN125 & only 5 Km from the house. Colina Verde - 9 holes, Par 28, 1,145m is situated between Olhão & Tavira. Castro Marim Golf - 18 holes, Par 71, 5,265m designed by Terry Murray is situated near the historic town of Castro Marim. There is also the first Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course at Monte Rei (ranked Top 20 in Europe & Top 100 in the world by Golf Digest USA - the only Portuguese course to achieve this ranking) and is just 3 Km north from the house! Shopping, food and other activities: Both Vila Real de Santo Antonio & Tavira (with its large Shopping Mall) are real-life towns with shops for everyday items - some excellent bargains are to be had in household linens - towels, bed linen and table linen. Along the EN125 coast road & inland, fantastic local pottery is available. The beach resorts of Monte Gordo, Altura, Manta Rota & Cabanas provide great holiday shopping with gifts, clothes, shoes & beach equipment. There are many other activities open to the more adventurous - from walking, riding, cycling, sailing and surfing - all within easy access from Santa Rita. There are excellent restaurants within easy reach of the house, including Cacela Velha & Fabrica just 2 Km away & beachside restaurants at Manta Rota. Excellent restaurants abound in the Eastern Algarve, both in the towns and nearby villages and along the coast road. Choose from the local 'black' pork, cataplana (seafood stew) or fresh fish and you won't be disappointed. Beaches: The villa is located only a few Km from the wide-open Blue Flag beach of Manta Rota, with lots of parking space and a pedestrian access way leading straight down to the beach. If you feel really adventurous just keep on walking - the beaches stretch for miles! The whole beach area is very much orientated towards families and is a very safe, clean environment with ample open space, even in peak times, for sunbathing, swimming and playing with the kids! This area is truly one of the most outstanding areas of natural beauty - you will not be disappointed! Also try the beautiful beach at Praia Verde (green beach) and you will see why it is so special - set in a nature reserve with pine forest leading down to the protected sand dunes and fantastic wide-open beaches. The beaches at Cacela Velha, Fabrica (both just 2 Km away) & Cabanas are also worth visiting - taking the short taxi boat ride across the Ria Formosa to get to the stunning beaches is a real treat!

This is a lovely, roomy villa and whilst we had a great week, there were some issues. Over half of the patio dining chairs were broken, the sun loungers were old and tatty and there were no sun parasols with the loungers. The back door didn't lock and the tap in the kitchen was faulty (this issue was resolved on quickly). There were ants in the kitchen drawers and on the worktops. Be advised that there are no tea towels, cloths or other washing up supplies provided at all. The grass lawn was totally overgrown and unusable. The lounge, bedrooms and bathrooms were all absolutely spotless and well provisioned. The pool was very clean and safe.

Our family of 6 adults and 3 children stayed 15 nights there was plenty of room for all of us The villa was well equipped with everything you need The pool was a big hit with the children and adults 😀 We did plan to rent a car but found that the local taxi company was really reliable so we managed with out a car There is a local bar in Santa Rita which sells milk water some veg and soft drinks The lady that owns the bar is lovely we all fell in love with her The beaches are beautiful Manta Rota beach is only 10 mins in the car beautiful white sand it was still early in the season so only a few shops and 2 restaurants open both where very nice Really worth taking the boat from Travia town to Travia beach everything you could want there and very beautiful boat trip is 2€ adults and 1€ for children We had a little problem with the electric hob but this was sorted very quickly once we contacted the owner Only thing if we are being picky the pool furniture and sun beds have seen better days and could do with replacing but this did not affect us enjoying our holiday

We had a fabulous time in this lovely villa. The booking process was easy, the owners friendly. We were welcomed by Pam and Paul at the villa who were on hand if needed. As previous reviewers have mentioned this villa is very well equipped and very comfortably housed the nine of us for two weeks. The garden and pool were lovely and we had a lot of fun. We enjoyed our walks down to Fabrica for coffee and cake. Some days,depending on the tide, we would either walk through shallow water to the beach on the other side or catch the little boat over. Pam and Paul recommended a local taxi service and they were brilliant, so much so that we never did book a hire car as we thought we might have done. Let's face it, with such a beautiful villa, pool and garden there were many days when we just stayed at 'home' or walked around the local area.

We had a great week at Vila Nova De Cacela. The surroundings were still and nice. I found some beautiful roads to go for my morning running. The villa was very well equiped and we didnt miss a thing!. The pool, the patio and the garden was lovely. The contact with the owners worked very well. We strongly recommend this villa and we would love to come back some day!

Myself and five other friends stayed in this villa the last week of September and had a fabulous time. The villa is extremely well equipped and had everything we could possibly want. The location is great with everything you want within a 10 minute drive but I would say you definitely need a car. Paul and Pam (the property managers) were lovely and were very accommodating to our requirements. I wouldn't hesitate in staying in this villa again and would definitely recommend it.

Our family of 8 adults & 3 children (8,5 &3) spent a great 2 weeks in the villa. It's situated in a quiet village, about 10 mins or so drive to nearest beach The property was spotless on arrival & the 'local agents' are part of the owner's family - the agents offered to get in some basic shopping for our arrival: a big help The garden has great rural views & the pool was great for us all. The details of the villa on the web-site were spot-on We chose not to hire any cars, but used local taxis. On our 1st morning we used a number recommended by the agents - & we then called him each time we required transport. If he was not available, he arranged for someone else to pick us up - sometimes from another company A local baker called each morning & baked a cake specially for our youngest grand-daughter's birthday! Our family all thoroughly enjoyed our stay, & fully intend going back We cannot recommend this property highly enough

We have been staying in this area for the past 10 years and this was by far the best accomodation we have stayed at. Owners with whom we booked with and Paul & Pam who met and facilitated our stay could do no more. The pictures do not do this Villa justice the outdoor space is second to none in such a tranquil and beautiful setting. It comes highly recommended by our whole party which included adults of all ages and 3 kids.

What attracted us to the villa was the unusually spacious garden with grass for small children to run around on. They made good use of this and the safely fenced pool. We made use of the inflatables and paddling pool in the storecupboard too - just right for babies who find the pool too cold. The house is spacious, very attractively decorated and well equiped. Partcularly loved the insect screens on doors and windows. Really effective. Good mattresses and pillows ( very important) Kitchen scales maybe the only thing I would add but I suspect most people dont cook as much as we did! A/C a godsend( we had lovely weather but it must be very hot later in the season) and the multiple bathrooms helped keep everyone happy. The views from the roof terrace are amazing - shame there is no furniture up there to take advantage of it. The location is blissfully quiet but beautiful beaches are within easy reach. Being more used to France and Spain I think we expected to find a local baker for fresh bread in the morning but there are plentiful supermarkets so we adjusted our expectations. Owner Phil and his managers Paul and Pam could not have been more helpful and friendly.
