Location is what I liked most about the hotel. Many restaurants around and located close to most of the city attractions. Staff very nice and helpful. Good to have a decent breakfast included and available early in the morning
The room was extremely small and the bathroom had terrible smell all the time. The place for breakfast was always very crowded

We had to leave early on the lasy day and after asking reception, they had a lunch box packed for us at 6 am.

If you want to stay in the old town on a budget and are a heavy sleeper, this hotel is well located, but unfortunately I don't have anything else positive to say about our stay. This is more like a 2 star vs. 3 star hotel.
The rooms and property are in need of a major refresh and and the breakfast is served in the basement of the hotel which is now a karaoke bar that blasts music well into the night. The room was dingy and smelled of humidity and musty carpet, and there was mildew build-up in the shower--there isn't any ventilation besides opening up a window. If you ask for your room to be made up, they might take out the trash and give you a new bath mat, but little else. This hotel is like a maze, and since there is no elevator (there are 5 or 6 floors), I would caution people who are unsteady on their feet or have small kids (with strollers) to be careful about booking. Some stairways lack hand rails, some outdoor stairs have chunks missing from them, there are rooms accessed by iron spiral staircases, and I believe most bathrooms require a step up from the bedroom (since the plumbing had to be retrofitted). Families left their baby strollers in the lobby. To access the breakfast, you have to go up and then down some stairs, until you reach a staircase that goes into the basement (it really looks like you're going into a maintenance room). Despite the photos on booking.com of a 'medieval' looking dining room, the basement is now a karaoke bar (think low lighting, painted dark rooms, cheap bar furniture). To say the least, it wasn't appealing, but what pushed it over the edge for us was realizing there were fruit flies lining the ridges of the orange wedges. We went directly to a ROST for breakfast after that (a delicious decision). As previously mentioned, the karaoke bar blasts music at night that can be heard/felt on the second floor, interior room we were in. We're good sleepers so while we could hear the beat of the music, we were able to sleep. Not sure how well the guests on the first floor fared.
