Provence countryside lovely getaway

We stayed 2 nights in a little gîte in the Provence countryside and it was very lovely and comfortable, equipped with everything including an outside kitchen. There is also a beautiful terrace, we were there during winter but it must be fantastic during summetime. Everything was perfect, we didn’t meet the owners in person but check in was smooth and they were easily available. There are also two dogs, one little one and one big shepherd and they were lovely company. Would definitely recommend!

Schöne und geschmackvolle Unterkunft mit leider einigen Schwachpunkten

Lage ist im ersten Stock über eine steile Wendeltreppe einmal um das Haupthaus herum erreichbar. Zimmer und Bad sind sehr geschmackvoll und qualitativ hochwertig ausgestattet. Im Außenbereich befindet sich eine Küche (sehr gut ausgestattet!) und eine sehr schöne Sitzecke mit Blick ins Grüne und Ausrichtung nach Süden. Sobald die Sonne scheint kann man hier wunderbar relaxen. Leider war ich im Winter hier und konnte sowohl Sitzecke als auch Küche nicht oder kaum nutzen. Heizung funktioniert super und es ist auch bei Minusgraden warm.

Wlan funktioniert nur über eine kleine mobile Box von Orange und ist zum Streaming oder längere Arbeiten völlig ungeeignet weil die Verbindung ständig abbricht bzw. zu langsam ist. Auf Nachfrage antwortete die Besitzerin mir nur, dass es keine andere Möglichkeit gibt und das die Box normalerweise immer funktioniert. Der Kontakt zur Besitzerin ist nur über Nachrichten, ich finde diese Art sehr unpersönlich. Die Lage des Grundstücks ist direkt am kleinen Regionalflughafen von Carpentras, Fluglärm ist zwar nicht immer aber schon vor allem am Nachmittag zu hören. Ich wurde jeden Morgen pünktlich um 7:00 von einem unangenehmen Lärm (Lüftung? Pumpe?) direkt hinter der Schlafzimmermauer geweckt. Der Wasserdruck in der Dusche ist ebenfalls negativ zu erwähnen, es dauert sehr lange bis das Wasser warm wird und dann ist der Druck sehr schwach. Als letzten viel erwähnten Negativpunkt muss ich leider die Hunde nennen. Auch wenn der große Hund wirklich lieb ist und nicht aggressiv, hat er die schlechte Angewohnheit bellend bei Ein- und Ausfahrt ums und leider auch ans Auto zu springen. Das geht leider überhaupt nicht!

Jolie terrasse avec vue... dans un très beau cadre

Séjour d'une semaine agréable et bonne situation pour sillonner la région. Grâce à une météo clémente pour un mois d'octobre (à part un jour de mistral froid), j'ai pu profiter matins et soirs de l'agréable terrasse et de la vue sur le jardin; la cuisine extérieure jouxtant celle-ci (studio au 1er étage). Intérieur propre et coquet, spacieux, literie confortable, moustiquaires.

Sans grande importance, mais à signaler... - Il vaut mieux arriver quand il fait clair pour découvrir les lieux... (l'allée n'était pas éclairée comme mentionné dans le sms d'accueil) - Odeur nauséabonde à mon arrivée (problème d'égouttage ?) mais estompée au fil du temps. - Malgré le fait que la maison ne soit pas en bord de route mais au bout d'un grand terrain, je ne mentionnerai pas, comme certains, le calme du lieu : sur la terrasse à l'étage, on entend le trafic sur la départementale (en été, peut-être que la végétation fait écran?)

just quiet and cosy beautiful grounds and peaceful even with the odd light plane landing

was a bit unclear what to do when you got in the Gate but we cleared up with messages with the fab hosts

Good place to wind down for a few days with some books by the pool and some exploring of the neighborhood.

The pool and the garden are super. This place is located a bit from the road, which makes it very quiet, apart from the local air traffic on weekends. The owners have 2 dogs that are super friendly, but if you don’t like dogs or are afraid of them, you should think twice. If you want to make your own breakfast, the blue room has a breakfast area where you can make coffee and breakfast. But you can also ask the owners to make breakfast for you.

The air traffic (small planes taking off and landing) during the weekend is disturbing the otherwise very quiet place. The sun beds in the garden need replacing.
