It was a beauitiful place to stay, with a long history. It's owner? Hoast? The person at the front desk was wonderful and exceptionally helpful even arranging a driver for us to get to the river.
The room was just a bit colder than I would have liked even with the AC heat on. If you're traveling in spring or summer no worries on that front at all!

Staying at Governor's Mansion made my trip to Yangshou a calm, pleasant experience. Located a few kilometers away from the city center, the property is close to the Yulong River and and roads that lead to Yangshuo and the 10 Mile Gallery. The hostess was welcoming and polite. I enjoyed all of the meals that I ate there (breakfast and dinner) and slept soundly, even during the chilly winter nights.

I need that kind of relax.
It was very calm atmosphere.
It was little cold at night.
However all kind of old houses(like castles)are cold in winter.

The accomodation had a lovely rustic feel and we felt very relaxed there. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They don't speak English but we got by with translator apps on our phones! The bed was very comfortable and we used the free bikes to explore the area, which is absolutely stunning. They are currently building a bike path by the river, which will be amazing once it's finished.
Not a big issue but Google Maps says the location of this accommodation is in the centre of Yangshuo, and it's actually a 20 minute drive outside of the town! However, this was a happy mistake for us as we absolutely loved being outside of the busy town in this more rural and relaxed part of Yanghsuo.
