Beautiful building, excellent location for Whitby, Sandsend, plus grest area for walking, sightseeing, relaxing in the beautiful grounds or in the beautiful lounges of the house. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Menus for breakfast and lunch had great choices.

The WiFi did not work in the bedroom
The cooked breakfast was appalling and comprised of 'kept warm' food nothing was cooked fresh. Poor selection of fruit for breakfast.. who eats dried banana slices for breakfast?
Tea was 'make your own' using hot water flasks.
The toast was also make your with about 4 loaves of white and brown sliced bread in 4 piles. No pastries
