We had a wonderful one-week family stay at this property. The building, which is family-owned, has everything you could possibly need. The apartments are located on the second floor — there are only three of them, which makes the atmosphere very private and exclusive. The café/après-ski bar is on the first floor, a well-equipped sports store is on the ground floor, and the ski rental shop and private ski storage (included with the apartment) are conveniently located on the -1 level.
Everything was excellent. The apartments are exceptionally quiet, ensuring a great night’s sleep. The food is of high quality, and the ski shop offers excellent equipment and service.
The Spieljochbahn gondola is directly in front of the property, making ski access incredibly convenient. If you wish to explore other ski areas such as Hochfügen or Hochzillertal, the ski bus stops right outside the building. Alternatively, a local taxi costs approximately €30 to Hochzillertal and around €50 to the Zell am Ziller ski area.
The closest restaurant, Restaurant Zirbenstube, is just a 5-minute walk away and is open until at least 9 pm.
If you are interested in a spa experience, the closest option is the Hotel Schiestl. If you are traveling with children, Erlebnistherme Zillertal is the place to go. It is crowd, but kids love it.
As a special touch of hospitality, the host’s father even offered us a ride back to the property when he happened to run into us at Erlebnistherme Zillertal — a gesture we truly appreciated.
Overall, the property and its prime location create an outstanding vacation experience. We would gladly return. Many thanks to Anna and her dad!
If you arrive late, please note that most shops close around 6–7 pm, as is common in many parts of Europe, and only restaurants remain open. It is a good idea to bring water with you upon arrival, although it can also be purchased at nearby restaurants.
When we arrived, there was no soap or shower gel in the apartment, likely an oversight by housekeeping. I called Anna, and everything was delivered promptly the next morning. In the meantime, we purchased soap and shower gel at Hotel Schiestl.
The property does not have laundry facilities. We needed to wash my son’s sneakers, and Anna’s father kindly offered to take care of it for us, which we greatly appreciated.
