Staying at the apartment was like being a treasured friend in a warm family home.

The room was romantic like something from the unspoilt past. Tilos is the most beautiful island I’ve ever been to. I liked the shutters and the colour of the paint, the plants and the table and chair outside. Marko his father and son are intelligent helpful informative friendly and interesting hosts and Cooper is a magnificent dog.

An ideal accommodation, close to the centre.

Great position and view from the balcony out over Livadia. Markos and his father George were consistently friendly and very helpful. They even fixed the wheel on my case which had been torn off in transit. Cannot fault them! The bed was blissfully comfortable, linen and towels changed very regularly, very strong Wi-Fi and super efficient air con.

The shower is rather small.

Fantastic location on an island we’ll return to.

Location was perfect. Marko was very welcoming and met us from the ferry. We felt at home at his lovely accommodation and was also welcomed by his lovely father and dog Cooper. He was Very helpful regarding any information we requested . We loved the zero waste approach of the accommodation and island in general.

The shower facilities were small and cramped… but the water was exquisitely hot and the pressure was great.

The owners of the property could not have done any more to make my stay enjoyable. They constantly checked to ensure everything was okay with the accommodation. One lunchtime they shared their lunch with me. They were always available to answer any questions and ensure I was okay.

The location of the property was near all of the bars and restaurants. The balcony had a sea view and the sun all day.

Amazing place to stay in Tilos

Very nice and cozy place. Owner is very friendly and communicative. Great location with spacefull rooms decorated in traditional style. Wifi available. If you want have best and authentic feeling from Tilos island is that accomadation a choice number one.

A lovely, welcoming home-away-from-home in the heart of Tilos.

From the moment we stepped through the decorative cast iron gates into the cool, shady bougainvillea-covered courtyard, we knew we had arrived at a truly special place. If you want to stay somewhere where you are welcomed like family as soon as you arrive, George Apartments is definitely the place to go. Markos and his father George are kind and thoughtful. During the day, we enjoyed relaxing in the cool courtyard with Markos’s gorgeous dog Cooper and George’s cat, and admired the lovely mosaics in the floor made by George himself. In the evening, we loved the cool breezes from the rooftop. While only a short walk from the ferry terminal, George apartments is tucked away in a peaceful spot. All amenities are nearby including a lovely beach, mini-mart, a choice of many tavernas, cafes and other shops. Our room had a little kitchen/dining area with refrigerator where we could prepare snacks, and the beds were very comfortable. George Apartments was the perfect base from which to explore Tilos, and Markos was a wealth of knowledge about the local area. This is a truly wonderful place you will want to return to again and again - we are already thinking about our next visit!

Greek island's hospitality at its best

I liked everything at George and Marcos. They are true hosts to all their visitors to a small but a special island of Tilos. Their rooms are located ideally, have great views over the port and the harbour entrance. Spotlessly clean and serviced daily. Marcos always finds what you ask for. Whether it is an advice or some things that you may need during your stay. He also gives you little treats at arrival and departure and those given to me were absolutely delicious. This is greek philoxenia (hospitality) at its best. The old world charm as they often say in guide books;-)

Markos is just the best! Very friendly and accommodating. He gave us a bigger room free of charge, washed our cloth and provided everything we needed to prepare our meals. The place has a big terrace up top where we had breakfasts and our aperitivos with a view over the city to the sea. I don’t know how this place didn’t end up in Lonely Planet.

Basic, friendly and quiet

When I arrived in the evening I wondered how apartments this basic could have such a good rating. By the next day I understood. It had everything I needed without being cluttered. It was so clean, the owner Marcos and his Dad were so friendly and helpful. Right in the town, there was traffic noise when I arrived but it was clear the next day that this was because of the ferry I had arrived on, outside the main ferry arrivals every few days it was quiet. No view from my downstairs room, but a wonderful terrace with trailing plants to give shade. The view was there, I just needed to step outside the main door or walk to the roof. Internet was amazingly fast.

Great hotel with an awesome host

Marcos was a great host. He makes the best frappes on tilos 👌 He gave me advice on where to hike, pointed out this hidden beach which I visited. The place is also very central in Livadia, so that's nice as well.

Can't point out a single negative thing to be honest. Would return in a heartbeat.

What a great place

The apartment was perfect for our needs the location couldn't have been better right on the village square Marcus and his father are delightful couldn't do enough for us the people of the village are very friendly there are enough bars and restaurants open with plenty of choice and the beach was great wish I could have stayed with them longer

Excellent place to switch off, enjoy the beach, local food, hospitable people and natural beauties.

The host and his family were very nice and welcoming people. We really felt at home. We were warmly welcomed at the port and given great advice about what to visit on the island. The cafe next to George's was a fantastic place to have breakfast and dinner. Our host even offered to repair my broken bag, helped me with a medical condition, accompanied us to museums and assisted us with rescuing two drowning falcons. We did not feel like leaving at the end of our stay and we really want to come back to spend more time with these friendly locals.

The host Marcus was very welcoming and helpful. The rooms are nice and clean and in a good location , close to everything .
