Wonderful location in the Val de Rance - while you're outside Dinan town itself, you're within a few minutes' walk of the river with many lovely restaurants, bakeries etc. all along the river which makes eating out very easy and it is very picturesque.
The bedrooms are set over two floors with their own bathrooms so there is lots of privacy. The house was well-equipped including the kitchen, with plenty of towels provided in the bathrooms. Property was generally clean.
The property is listed as having on-site parking, but this is not really the case!! The property consists of 4 rented units, with only 1 onsite parking spot - so whether or not you secure that spot is very much down to luck. It was already taken when we arrived so we contacted the owner as we didn't know if we were able to use the paid & monitored street parking outside the property, and it took hours to hear back, which was not a positive start. They told us to leave a handwritten note in the windscreen to say that we were staying at the property but this didn't feel particularly reassuring against possible fines.
Also very important to note and should be made much clearer on the description: the property is at the bottom of about 20 steep steps - which thankfully was not a problem for us, but for those with mobility issues could be a real issue.
Cleanliness was mixed - the oven was still very dirty from previous tenants and the main sofa was really stained and needs a deep clean or to be replaced.
The curtain rod above one of the beds was also dangling dangerously off all its hooks, making the bed under it not very safe.

Sehr gute Lage, ursprünglich eigentlich eine sehr schöne Anlage, sehr schönes Ausblick und Garten.
Im Gegensatz zu den anderen Bewertungen reagiert die Concierge schnell auf Hinweise: ein durchgerosteter Grill wurde durch eine neuen ersetzt, Reparatur der Steckdose wurde angeboten.
Komplette Wohnzimmer und Küchenausstattung sehr abgewohnt, Sofa durchgesessen und müffelnd, Dichtung der Spülmaschine schimmeln, Steckdose locker. Nur oberflächlich geputzt, Geschirr noch fettig.
Renovierungsstau. Gründliche Reinigung nötig.
Parksituation entspricht nicht den Angaben. Für 4 Parteien theoretisch 2 Parkplätze, 2. Parkplatz blockiert dann aber das andere Auto.
Hinweisbuch sollte überarbeitet werden für eine internationale Kundschaft.
Im aktuellen Zustand stimmt das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis nicht.

Le gîte était très confortable, charmant et extrêmement bien placée à Dinan. Le jardin offre la vue sur la forteresse de Dinan.
