A great stay with stunning views, quiet rooms, and one of the best restaurants and food

The breakfast (and the cuisine in general) is probably the best I have encountered in Georgia. Both variety and quality were great, and in addition to a very generous selection in the buffet, they make every kind of hot morning dish: benedicts, toasts, omelets, you name it. And everything tastes great. The rooms are nice, the mattresses are firm (crucial for me and my broken back), and the panoramic windows offer stunning views of both the lake and the valley. The staff needs a few extra words. They were friendly, helpful, almost all of them speak quite good English, and they are literally there to help you: whether it's rescuing you from the rain across the lake and sending a golf taxi to take you back to the hotel, or changing your flat tire (both happened to us, and I couldn't be more grateful for the help, if you're reading this - thank you once again!)

Beware of the ants though, any food left outside the fridge will attract a small swarm of them. Harmless, but some people might get scared.

sehr gutes Hotel mit teilweise sehr schlechtem Personal

tolle Lage, gute Ausstattung, tolles Frühstücksbüffet.

Das Hotel inklusive See wird von der Allgemeinheit komplett abgeschottet. Das wird vielen gefallen, ich finde es zu abgehoben. Das Personal im Restaurant kann zumeist kein Englisch und hat offensichtlich auch keine entsprechende Ausbildung. Wir haben eine Flasche Weißwein bestellt. Serviert wurde uns leider nicht der, den wir bestellt haben aber ein doppelt so teurer Wein, der noch dazu viel zu warm war. Ich habe das nicht akzeptiert und das war dann eine lange ungute Diskussion bzw. Streitgespräch. so etwas sollte einem in so einem Hotel bzw. Restaurant nicht passieren !

Great place with a wonderful view

Wonderful view and very comfortable place to spend there a day or two. We really enjoyed the place, we will definitely come back again! Recommend to stay here for a couple of days.

At the same time of our stay there was a wedding. Because of it some facilities like spa and pool were available only for a limited time. Bikes are willing to be repaired :)

Great hotel and awesome surroundings. Very tranquil. Nice service and absolutaley great breakfasts.

Awesome room, awesome view on the valley, the corner room has a huge balcony, beautiful surroundings - lake, mountains, forest, huge valley. Mini bar is also good.

If your room is near the elevator you will most probably hear it very well every time it is used.

enjoy the nature

The hotel gives a chance to their guests to enjoy the privacy at Kvareli Lake

During our stay we couldn’t find a chance to enjoy that privilege as the hotel offer chance to outsiders to book all the lake’s space for their activities Also, we face difficulties to communicate with staff as there English not that much good

Perfect, quiet location!

The location is perfect if you are looking to escape it all! Very picturesque with the lake and the backdrop of the snow capped mountains. We enjoyed just being able to walk outside, biking also available. Breakfast was always delicious and plenty of options. Evening meals were also well prepared.

Construction is taking place on a new building (this was mentioned but I missed it, so my fault). The room said it had a bath, this was important to us as we had our 5 month baby, we were told that no rooms have a bath. In defence of the hotel, the manager was amazingly helpful and went to buy a small tub so we could bathe our little one. Disappointing that no boats were allowed on lake as we were looking forward to this before arriving. As outdoor pool was also closed, no swimming options were available.

Clean room, friendly staff and wonderful restaurant

Clean room and hot water system is fast, friendly and nice staff. We had dinner at hotel restaurant which have nice view and food is delicious.

Amazing breakfast! super comfortable rooms and the staff is outstanding!

The spa was outdated, but the staff told me that they will update/open a new spa in the new building next autumn.

A great property that has so much unrealized potential. The rooms are fancy, the food is very well cooked and the restaurant staff are good. The hotel is well equipped with a game room, spa, sauna, changing room, steam room, mini gym, lounge area and a masseuse. The space is minimal and clean. The property overlooks a private lake against the backdrop of the mountains, a very pretty setting.

The pool was not operational. Yes, it was winter, but a temporary (inflatable) structure over the pool would've been ideal keeping in mind the price per day to stay in this property. This temporary structure over the pool was replicated in another hotel during my visit to Georgia. There was a long wait for the sauna to be turned on. We were under the assumption that a 4-star property would have all its facilities operational. This was not mentioned during check-in. While the wait would not usually be an issue, it is essential to note that the recreational and wellness facilities are a >5-minute walk from the main hotel building, in freezing cold. The front desk did not offer an option for a buggy service to and fro the two buildings. The gaming area is well equipped, with no one to direct, guide or assist. The room was cold since the heating was switched off and the adjacent bar was not operational. We figured out the heating and music, and made do. I had ordered a bottle of water for the room. I was turned down because the expensive, four-star hotel did not offer room service. The very basic front desk service was mediocre at best. If the hole aspires to welcome international tourists, knowing basic English would be a prerequisite, one would assume. Smaller boutique hotels that I visited across Georgia had better customer service. All in all, a great property with terrible service. If you're not looking for a wellness retreat where you expect things to be done for you, I would recommend this place. If service and general upkeep are important to you, I would skip this property. Having been to multiple well-known retreats, this one was sub-par. The most unfortunate thing was that the stay was booked to mark a special occasion, and I felt let down. Would not recommend.

good hotel, but stupid security service

well organized and nice

the horrible security service. every time we return hotel territory, they did not allow us to come. they asked millions of questions and they don’t speak English at all. 2 times they did not let us to go into the hotel without any reason….so we have to wait for something we don’t know…and then security said - ok, you can enter the building. also they asked to open our bag and show our staff. this is insane. apart from security service, all was good

it is a very clean, modern and high quality food restaurant.
