A comfy pub with open fire
We were unable to buy a meal

The food was great value for money and fantastic quality, staff were friendly and the pub had a lovely atmosphere. We had both breakfast and an evening meal and would highly recommend both.
Only a very minor point. We had two room. One was immaculate and appeared to be recently renovated. The other was slightly more dated and not as clean. This however wasn’t a big issue and didn’t detract from this being an excellent find and great value for money.

Nice hotel and chap behind the bar was friendly, efficient and helpful. Everything was clean and comfortable
It wasn’t advertised that the hotel doesn’t serve food on a Monday with is a bit inconvenient when you have traveled 2 hours for work and the only other pub the three jolly sailors only serves food until 7:30. Luckily I didn’t book breakfast because I have stayed before and the don’t serve until 8:30 onwards which doesn’t suit when I need to be away by 8am latest.
