Good location when transiting A28 . Friendly staff. Pleasant meal.
Although there is ample of parking it is a public car park so no secure.

Ideally placed in the centre of town with a large square in which to park. Although originally a pay to park this is now free.
There is a bar next door which was a bonus since the hotel bar didn't open until 6 pm. Nothing much happening in the town since our stay coincided with the annual French holiday season!
Ate al-fresco in the courtyard with good food and a reasonably priced bottle of wine.
As befits a building of this age the interior is a little rambling with narrow, steep staircases (no lift). Although we were on the second floor we had a corner room with a dual aspect allowing a welcome breeze to cool the room (heatwave time!)
Less flies in the courtyard during dinner--Should have carried my can of flyspray--though other diners may not have approved!

The quality of the evening meal served in the hotel restaurant was excellent. The Maitre'de was doing a very good job in training two young waiters, who explained each course to us in rapid French (with which we are not very familiar), but did their job very well. The wine list was good, our chosen wine, excellent (despite the price).
The bed was uncomfortable, the supplied pillows far too hard, the bathroom, like the rest of the hotel, gave the impression of being a little tired and lacking a regular "quality check".
