We had a really enjoyable stay here. The owners were delightful: friendly, helpful and hospitable. Th evening meal we.had was extremely tasty and breakfast really set us up for a busy day ahead. The apple juice, which was produced on the farm was superb. Bed was super comfortable.
Nothing really. The room was very hot. But we visited in a heat wave and teh house was many centuries old, so that was to be expected. Perhaps providing a fan in the room would be a good idea.

The breakfast was amazing with endless amounts of homemade apple juice, coffee, eggs made to order and a wide selection of food. Being able to eat at the property in the evening was a bonus. The evening meals were freshly made and delicious. The host, Marcus and his lovely parents were so friendly and helpful. They were very attentive hosts. Marcus and his parents make their own produce such as bread, meats, spirits, jam, honey which you can purchase. The property feels old and traditional and gives a real sense of staying in the black forest.
As it was so hot during our stay the inside of our room was very hot and clammy. We could not open the door/window due to the amount of flies and despite Marcus providing a very small fan sleeping was difficult in the extreme heat. Some form of better cooling system would have been greatly appreciated and improved our stay further.

The low ceilings were a struggle for us- anyone taller than 5'8 should ask for one of the new rooms. They aren't historical rooms but just as charming!

The host was helpful and offered an evening meal if we did not want to go back to the town to find food. Very old quirky wooden building.
Our room had a very low ceiling and the shower was even worse! Anyone over 5’8” will in trouble! The bed linen needs replacing. Car parking space was a bit tight.
