The view from the balcony and windows. We were lucky enough to see the Sir Nigel Gresley pass through on Saturday. The bed was comfortable and the whole property clean and welcoming

The location is unique due to the position. Sitting in the lounge area you can imagine you are actually on a boat the sea is so close with nothing blocking the view. You can watch the many changes of the sea over each 24 hours and as the weather changes. The property is nestled in the cliff half way up and at ground level is a railway track with a footbridge to connect visitors to the promenade. If you find steps and a fairly short but steep path very difficult or you don't like trains don't book here. We do like trains and found the comings and goings of the trains, the proximity to the beach, the very long promenade as well as the people watching from the balcony to be great! There was a good range of toys and games for children and a very good supply of kitchenware for cooking. The beach is a dog's paradise (ideal for us), natural, with a cave or two and not commercial, would be difficult to access at some points for anyone with mobility problems. However there are more amusements etc and more accessible beaches along the promenade at Dawlish Warren and a little further at Teignmouth.
Nothing to dislike. Lighting near the outside porch area could be improved.

Location, location,location.
The views!!, everything that you could need was there. Walking distance to town, coast path on the doorstep,plenty of hot water, comfy beds and the sounds of the waves with your morning cuppa.❤️
