Hidden gem at quiet beach

Located right at a beautiful beach. Very tasty food, friendly and helpful staff. I would definitely choose this place again.

The cleaning around the lounge chair area could be improved. New cushions would be nice.

Great place to get away for a few days and chill out.

Great location, excellent food, comfortable room. Its easy to get there these days, no boat ride needed, just drive to parking area and begin your relaxation. The big sandy beach with no rocky bottom is safe and excellent for swimming for the whole family.

The resto area is gloomy and the tables need replacing. But the food is good. Plenty of other restos in adjacent resorts.

The beach is awesome! Quiet and secluded. Food was fresh and with big portions. Staff were all friendly and helpful.

All in all, a wonderful stay.

The location and facilities are excellent. There are plenty of places to relax. The service is very courteous and friendly. The owner greeted us personally. The food is very tasty and varied. In addition to a pool table and table football, there are also boats and surfboards to hire. All in all, a wonderful stay.

Short and unhappy with the rooms.

Good and secluded location.

Plenty of big mosquitoes inside. When we asked them to git rid of them, staff only gave us mosquito coils. Brownout until 5pm? But may last until night so aircons wouldn’t work.

Great family time!

We had a great time! Owner was friendly as well as the staffs. Our requests were granted. We came at a good time coz there was no crowd at all, almost private for us. Low season at that time (went last May)!

we went for island hopping and we were too far from where we went.

Nice ambiance. Could be cleaner, service better.

The proximity to the beach.

The beach area was dirty. The staff wasn’t prepared. No towels, toilet paper when we arrived. Food was good but service was slow. The bathroom at the 6 person room did not have a wall or curtain separating the toilet from the shower. Everything got wet.

It's a pretty resort on the outside. The staff are friendly and work hard to accommodate you. We were a large group so it was understandable that things got a bit overwhelming. However, there were no toilet paper in the bathrooms. We had to request it. There were no clean, dry towels in the rooms. Towels were damp. Their dryer was broken. We had to hang the towels over the bed frames to dry. They were really not prepared for us. The bathroom was very poorly designed. The toilet is right next to the shower which had to divider or shower curtain. The whole bathroom, toilet, and toilet paper got wet after each shower. TI think in a situation where you're expecting a large group of guests you should anticipate being busy and be prepared. Our food orders always took over an hour to be ready. One night Dome of us waited 3 hours. The owner was there but lacked customer service skills. He did not interact with the guest, did not inquire how our stay way going, how he can help improve our experience. Beautiful beach but beach front had lots of debris. Overall more rustic than we had anticipated .

The bathroom, the lack of preparation for guests. It felt like I'd gone camping instead of being at a resort.

Good basic no-frills accommodation on a beautiful shady beach.

Great location on a beautiful white sandy beach with calm water for swimming and lots of shade trees. Good food, but service was a little slow at times. Room was comfortable though decorations within the room are looking a little tired. Next to a number of other resorts, all connected with a shady walkway to all the restaurants, which was great. A good place to chill out and relax.

Outdoor beach furniture looking a old and tired, with no new beach chairs for example. We were a group of ten, but there were only eight beach chairs available. Restaurant was ok, but again the bamboo furniture is dated and needs some upgrading. AC in the room worked ok though it was a bit noisy, but tolerable. Room towels were old and in poor condition. WiFi is very slow, but this is a remote location.

The owner is very greedy.and boastful...treats his stafff very poorly and unfair..and the resort has many hidden. Fees that they won't tell you till you check out...definitely never worth recommending or taking your family too...do not waste your money here..

a little bit of paradise, I stayed extra days

where else can you be direct on the beach and share a stretch of 1 km with less than 30-40 people on a weekend? Staff was great and

Dinner service at this place but also at 2-3 other similar restaurants and resorts on this beach was ridiculous. waited once 1 hour before the meal came and no one told me it was going to take an hour…. (orders outside the restaurant were being prepared, all good and well but I was the only restaurant customer who should have been informed about it)… another issue was paying for internet access, via coins in a machine near the bar. it takes a day to learn how to pause the internet access, it’s not told when you purchase it, the pausing doesn’t work anyways so you burn though your time

Very good!

We did not expect that the rooms alloted to us were nice and comfortable because we just booked only a few hours before our check-in time and other resorts in the area were all booked up because it's Jan. 1. We're so glad that Big Bamboo Resort still have rooms available(we are 8 pax by the way!) . There's fridge, hot and cold shower, toiletries, spacious beds and very nice and accommodating owner and staff.

glad to visit Sipalay and that’s it.

staff are nice , they have billiards and small volleyball space, rooms are okay but they can do better in the washroom 🤔

nothing much to do aside swimming in the ocean with kids. I think the place is under construction.? lights are off middle of the night until 6am not sure if that’s only happened during our stay. which is not good because we have small kids. also you will pay surcharge if you bring your own foods.😀

We absolutely had a great time!

This was a long-overdue trip. We had to reschedule our stay twice and they were so kind and understanding. The owner and staff were very accommodating. The place was absolutely beautiful and the food was superb! Worth the price ~ love their Banana Shake, Calamari, Cordon Bleu and Sweet & Sour Fish Fillet. Oh and they’re pet friendly, too! We’ll definitely come back and recommend them to our family and friends.

I visited this resort few years back, 2016 maybe. it was really different. I hope they can renovate the place and the landscaping. overall, nice place to unwind and chill

Feels like I'm in Hawaii

Place is nice and quiet. Staffs are great, polite very friendly. Awesome Long Island Ice Tea.

I wish there's a wash cloth, maybe they have I just didn't bother to ask.
