Refined ambiance, truly excellent hotel breakfast, well-appointed rooms, great location, kind staff

Nice location right in the center. The fact that the reception could cancel the booked breakfast.

The parking is quite expensive with 20 EUR fo a night. Breakfast only from 8 (as it was Easter Monday, normally earlier). The bells of the Dom at night.

The hotel’s location is excellent. It is within walking distance of all the main tourist attractions, which made our stay very convenient.

Unfortunately, the reception staff were extremely unfriendly and unprofessional. We arrived at the hotel at 2:00 PM for check-in, but were told that our rooms were not ready because the hotel had been fully booked. Instead of apologizing for the delay, the receptionists simply told us to wait outside. There was no apology, no offer of a complimentary drink, and no attempt to make us feel welcome. We had to wait outside for an hour in 34°C heat with a small child. Nobody came to inform us when our rooms were finally ready—we had to go back to the reception and ask ourselves. We had specifically booked a room with air conditioning for two adults and one child, as well as another room for two adults without air conditioning. However, we were told that our reserved room did not have air conditioning and that, if we wanted one with air conditioning, we would have to pay an additional €50. We refused because we had already booked and paid for a room with air conditioning. When we finally entered the room, we discovered that it already had air conditioning. We still do not understand why we were asked to pay an extra €50 for something that was already included in our reservation. In addition, the floor in one of the rooms was dirty upon arrival, which was disappointing and not what we expected from a four-star hotel. Our rooms were located at the front of the hotel, above the underground garage. The noise from the ventilation system was extremely loud, making it impossible to leave the windows open. The room without air conditioning became unbearably hot, and because of the constant ventilation noise, sleeping with the windows open was not an option. We expected much more from a four-star hotel. While the location is excellent, the poor customer service, lack of cleanliness, very hot rooms, and constant ventilation noise significantly affected our stay. Unfortunately, we would not choose to stay here again.
