A beautiful surprise, perched on a hill with the castle in the distance. Service was attentive and impeccable. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed but not in a fussy way. We enjoyed drinks on the terrace taking in the 360 degree panoramic view. Dinner and breakfast were excellent.

We had a suite which is located in a separate building to the main hotel (right next door). The room was more than spacious, had a large desk, space for clothing to hang, and free parking. There is a pool but we didn't use it. Dinner and breakfast options are great.
The town itself isn't great but we only visited for work so are not too fussed. Facilities on site are such that you shouldn't need to venture into town.

Restaurant, food and waiter were exceptional- hotel room a bit ‘tired’ and v old fashioned - aircon turned off until summer ( but they did provide a fan) - phone by the bed didn’t work so had to keep walking downstairs to reception for little requests.
The town itself ( about half a mile down a steep hill to the centre) is a complete vile dump - full of litter and clearly poverty stricken. The view from the hotel itself is a bit ‘industrial’ - polytunnels everywhere.
All in all not horrendous but a bit overpriced; however the food and restaurant service for dinner was really excellent.
