J’ai réservé une chambre le soir même mais la porte de l’hôtel m’est restée fermée et aucune personne pour répondre au numéro affiché à la porte de l’hôtel J’ai du dormir dans ma voiture avant de faire les 200km pour rentrer chez moi en pleine nuit

We enjoyed the staff and ambiance of the hotel as is an older building.

Staff were wonderful, room was clean, location was good in daytime as close to lots of shops and restaurants.

Room was a bit noisy at night as close to road and busy nightlife area. Might ask for a room on other side of the building next time.

Great for the Fontainebleau Chateau visit

Great location for the chateau visit. The 2-star hotel felt more like a 3-star. We didn't try the breakfast since a charming cafe was just 1 min walk away. Would stay there again, if needed to visit Fontainebleau palace again, which itself is a great destination.

It’s ok as for 2 stars but I am not sure that price is fair

Location and staff room was clean

Very small room . No hot water . We paid around 100 euro in Dubai ( where we live ) for 100 euro you can get much better rooms

Cold room

Good location

room was cold. Turned radiator on it barely warmed itself. Wifi was so so. We had room on 4th floor no elevator so quite tough on our old knees

Friendly, convenient, no frills hotel

Excellent location, in the centre of the town, by the main square and near the chateau. Staff were helpful and friendly. The room was quiet. Breakfast was basic continental, but fine.

This is not a luxurious hotel. The room was small. The shower was a hand spray in a tiny cubicle, plus a sachet of shampoo. The only electric socket was hidden behind a panel by the bed. These comments are not intended as complaints. It is what it is and I was happy I chose it.

Good

Very convenient location. Quiet thanks to double glazing windows. Quick checkin and keys for late return. Very basic furniture but in line with the price.

Only 1 power plug in the room.

Pleasant

Location is really good, right in the middle of Fontainebleau.

Room are extremely small, and dated. This is not a luxury hotel, but if you only plan on sleeping there and expect nothing else it will work for you.

Great location and lovely staff

Very easy to find (super close to the palace) and the staff spoke excellent English and were very friendly.

Air conditioning in the room would have been nice.

Historical hotel with very friendly staff

Very pleasant hotel in an old building in the historical city centre of Fontainebleau and a few steps from the Château and its beautiful gardens. We received a very warm welcome, and the staff was very friendly and attentive during our whole stay. Although the room was rather small and simple it had everything we needed.

The mattress was very soft and uneven and therefore not so comfortable.

well located hotel in a great town, close to a beautiful forest and Barbizon

the hotel is very close to the castle and the center of town. we dont mind walking up to the forth floor so as to enjoy the nice view. our room had a kitchenette.

Great location. Place doesnt have many thrills but it has everything you need at a very good price. It was hot and the manager gave us a brand new fan. Great service overall!

Amazing location next to the châteaux with a great many restaurants within 1 mins walk. Simple but pleasant accommodation. Good value.

Central location

Advertised that it had parking but it didn’t! Beautiful building but the decor lets it down.

Well located

The room was not clean enough. On the day of the check-out, I had a lady knocking on my door at 11:25 am telling me that I had to leave at that moment. There was a sign that clearly said that the check-out was at noon in the room. She insisted and did not apologize.

Cold night

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, although a little small.

The bedroom wasn't heated and the temperature was 14C, very cold indeed. Nothing was mentioned on arrival about radiators or hours for reception desk. As the latter was unattended when I returned after midnight I didn't report the temperature until morning, when I was told they could have given me an electric heater ... I feel this should either have been already present in the room or mentioned on arrival. The room I had was very noisy also, facing onto a busy main street with lots of young people enjoying their Saturday night outside my window! Not an ideal night!

Too expensive for what it was

The staff accommodated our food allergy by providing omelettes for breakfast.

Someone else's dirty laundry including underwear found in drawers in the bathroom. Headboards not attached to bed. Only the end of a toilet roll in the room when we arrived with no spare.

Excellent location by Chateau Fointanebleau.

Excellent location. Hosts were very kind and attentive. The rooms seemed recently refurbished. Nice bathroom. Simple and clean room.

Room door keys were a little difficult to use.
