Torside is a beautiful cottage in a perfect location for exploring local walks and caverns. The secluded corner of Castleton was very peaceful, although it probably gets much busier in season when there are more visitors to Pesk Cavern. Communication with Lisa was excellent and the house was spotless.

Four of us, all keen walkers, stayed here for five days. Communication with Lisa was great and property was well equipped, nicely furnished and well located in walking distance of trains, buses, a wide choice of cafes and restaurants, and the entrance to Peak Cavern. It was perfect in every way.

We loved our stay at Torside, which is located besides steep wooded cliffs and close to a scenic brook. The cottage is impeccably clean, thoughtfully furnished, and a very short walk to a parking lot. All of town is a stone’s throw away as is access to Peak Cavern. The only negative was that Peak Cavern is sometimes used for loud concerts that shatter the peace (but only until 10pm). We can highly recommend this cottage for families or groups (there are two very well appointed bedrooms).
