Maioliche Apartments Griante

We only stayed here one night but would happily have stayed here for a week or more. It is a very comfortable and well-appointed apartment in a great location. We paid extra for parking which was worth it - a very secure spot for our sports car. Great communication from Sheryl with clear instructions.

Just one tiny thing - the kettle smelled of plastic so we didn’t use it!

Host was very helpful and the apartments clean and well equipped. Has good views of the lakefront.

The beds could be more comfortable and being located in Cadenabbia is not as well located as staying in Tremezzo. But this is a minor detail, as eventually you can walk there or take a bus.

Excellent location, beautiful views, close to Mini Market and restaurants. Comfortable beds, elevator and AC, smart TV.

The only thing lacking were basics in the kitchen such as salt and pepper. Perhaps olive oil. Maybe people steal them. There were more that enough dishes, glassware and pots and pans.

The location of the apartment was good. The apartment is spacious and situated in a pleasant area. The garage was also convenient. The building is located within walking distance of the ferry terminal, which offers good connections to nearby villages. The air conditioning worked brilliantly in the 40°C heat and really kept the apartment cold.

Upon arriving at the apartment, we encountered a puddle of water on the floor. The AC unit in one of the bedrooms had leaked water onto the floor. This could not have been a new issue, as the room's door frames were completely rotted, swollen, and worst of all, MOLDY (see pictures)! The bedroom door wouldn't even close. We reported the issue to Sheryl (the apartment agent). We did get a maintenance worker to visit that same evening, but nothing could be done about the situation. The air conditioning unit was turned off. The smell of sewage and mold was so strong that we had to isolate the second bathroom and bedroom behind a connecting door, and we were unable to use them during our entire stay. Additionally, the dishes were dirty upon arrival. We asked for compensation for the inconvenience caused. Sheryl promised the owner would be in touch with us, but even a month later, we haven't heard from them. It is a pity that an otherwise fine apartment has been allowed to fall into this condition. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend a moldy apartment until renovations are done and the owner has paid compensation, because part of the apartment is uninhabitable.
