Beautiful boat & staff & food! Everything is 10/10

The moment I stepped onto the boat I was in heaven! Everything was perfect. The boat is so beautiful and the bedrooms are gorgeous, it’s so luxurious! The staff are so friendly & knowledgable. THE FOOD! Wowww! The most amazing food! The chef is the kindest man! Knows everything about Auyveda and eating to heal your body. I could’ve stayed a week! Book now! The best part of my trip 🤍 xx

It’s a gem in Alleppey houseboat tour, the room & other things is vey excellent & authentic old style. Food is amazing in Kerala style & taste is superb. Especially the staffs helpful & generous. Night stay in the room is enjoyable with nice cool weather inside the room.

What a great part of my holidays. The food on the boat was cooked for us was terrific. The crew were so friendly, the lakes were amazing. Even had Air Con in the bedrooms. Some experiences you just never forget. Best House boat in Alleppey Highly Recommended to everyone.

A dream of a houseboat

Thara’s houseboat is simply amazing, we had a wonderful time cruising the backwaters on it for a full day. It’s beautiful and comfortable, the staff is adorable and the food truly delicious. A true dream place.

LOVELY TRIP ON HOUSEBOAT

We enjoyed the peaceful stay on Tharas houseboat,their hospitality was really good,lovely staff,the chef was served wonderful meals , tasty breakfast lunch and dinner . The boat was very clean and so glad it wasn't noisy,we could enjoy lovely feeling of waterlillies and water hyacinth, the sunrise was beautiful scenery on a boat.If you wish to lovely stay on a houseboat we will highly recommend this place .

One of the best houseboat trip in kerala.We enjoyed authentic kerala style food was amazing . We were excited each moments in Tharas Houseboat, staff was very kindly people they explained the informations of backwaters and life of village area.We enjoyed a lot .

PRECIOUS DAY

We enjoyed the unique experience in Tharas Houseboat.It was very amazing and unforgetable memories in our life.They were served delicious food , their hospitality was really good.Houseboat was anchoring very calm and quite place so we could sleep very well.We saw the sunrise on a hoseboat it was beautiful.Thank you so much your entire team of Tharas houseboat. We will highly recommend this property.

Beautiful, peaceful relaxing time.

So glad we chose to book with Thara's Eco Boat rather than one of the larger boats with glass windows/air con etc. We felt much closer to nature and were only on the boat with 2 other people which made it a very relaxing experience. The staff on the boat could not have been more helpful. The food they cooked was lovely and there was no pressure to go for a massage or buy fresh fish as some other reviews suggest is the case on other boats. We had a great 2 nights on the boat visiting different back waters each day.

Nice and unique way to explore Kerala Backwaters

Staff was amazing and caring, routes and views, peaceful atmosphere, small eco boat

Small bed and no storage room, bathrooms need improvement, a bit more cleaner would be nice, missing instructions and information on boat trip and stops

great experience totally worth it, super delicious food

We spent most of our time in the front of the cabin, eating at the table or enjoying the peace and quiet. There are many sizes of houseboats, some are like floating hotel rooms with AC, glass windows, and a restaurant. This is a eco houseboat, it runs on solar, so its very quiet, unlike the floating hotels with their loud generators & AC coolers whirring, or the little boats with their outboard motors, our boat made very little noise and the trip was very quiet. The room is small as is the bathroom, but it's on a boat, so it's understandable. I myself live in a bus so the small size for me is normal. The open windows & fan kept us comfortable at night and the boat did not rock while docked near the shore. There were no extra charges other than for beer. The food was excellent, among the same quality of the 5 star hotels we visited, and more than we could eat.

The living quarters I wish was larger, even with places to sit & lay, I found myself always searching for the perfect spot. Really not much of anything to mark as a negative. The houseboat was far cleaner than the other 5 our mates looked at the same day.
