About this condo rental

Apartment 'Sarah' is a recently modified modern 3 room apartment with a liveable floor area of 65m² that occupies the ground floor of a family house. It is located in the pleasant Saldun bay, the quiet residential part of the UNESCO-town Trogir, on the island Ciovo, an oasis of dazzling beaches and leisure facilities, just 100 meters from the Saldun beach. The apartment consists of 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, 1 open space living room with kitchen and seating area. It is equipped with bed linen, towels, a flat-screen TV with streaming services, barbecue and garden furniture. In front of the apartment is a spatial terrace with a large table, cosy chairs and BBQ, to spend hot days in the shadow of an olive tree and breezy summer eves, absorbing the beauty of sunsets and fairy nights. From the terrace in front of the apartment you have also direct access to the swimming pool beside the apartment terrace, which you share just with the host who is living in the first floor of the house and will be at your disposal at any time. The apartment is surrounded with a Mediterranean garden, equipped with and yard furniture, to make you feel like home. Featuring free private parking in the closed garden, this 4-star apartment also features free WiFi throughout the property. By its arrangement and location it is suitable for a pleasant and comfortable vacation. The Rozac Beach is 300 metres from the apartment, while Copacabana Beach, with its 3 km long pebble beach, plenty of bars, restaurants and beach recreation facilities is 500 meters from the property. The nearest shop is in 200 m distance from the apartment, and in 15 minute walk you can reach the old town of Trogir. The airport Split, connected with flights from all over the world, is 5 km from the accomodation. This is our guests' favourite part of Trogir, according to independent reviews.

Todella onnistunut loma
Todella onnistunut loma
Asunnossa on kaikki mitä meidän lomalla tarvitsee. Sijainti on hyvä, rannat, kaupat, ravintolat kävelymatkan päässä. Auton saa pysäköityä asunnon pihalle. Isäntäväki neuvoo mielellään jos haluaa käydä lähistön muissa kohteissa. Asunto on kuitenkin todella rauhallinen ja sopivan matkan päässä rantaravintoloista, jotta yöt saa nukuttua hiljaisuudessa.

Man darf keine Wunder-Menüs erwarten. Die Halbinsel hat uns super gefallen, Wetter war richtig gut, Wasser ganz klar und warm. Trogir ist eine irre schöne, aufregende Stadt. Wir können das Apartment voll empfehlen.

We are a family of 4. (4 adults -> 2 parents + 2 children in their early 20s). We enjoyed our stay (3 nights) at the apartment. The apartment was very clean and spacious and the beds comfortable. The kitchen is equipped with plenty of dishes, cups, glasses, cutlery, a few pots and small appliances, providing enough to make basic meals during one’s stay. The unit also has a washing machine and portable clothes dryer/hanger – perfect to refresh one’s clothing. In addition, the unit has both a heating and air conditioning unit ensuring one’s comfort should the temperature outside require its use. (We used the heat setting one evening.) The inside of the unit is as shown in the pictures – with one of the large beds able to separate into 2. The WIFI worked well (and is secure). The outdoor area is lovely – quiet, private and spacious – with seating under an overhang (protection from rain) and seating on open lawn as well (with trees – so you can sit in sunshine or shade). The lawn area is also as shown in the pictures. The area is very quiet even though homes are nearby. We used the apartment as a base to visit Split, Sibenik and Trogir (walking into Trogir from the unit.) It was very convenient and we noticed a few grocery stores on our routes (stopping in a couple. They had all that we needed.) Patricia, the owner, was very friendly and helpful (as was her husband). Patricia corresponded with us a few times, promptly answering questions that we had prior to our stay and was there when we arrived – able to show us around the unit and explain how all worked. I highly recommend the unit and would stay there again if visiting the area. As a secondary point - A restaurant recommendation that Patricia gave to us – Leonardo in Okrug Gornji (a neighbouring district and perhaps a 15 minute walk) – was EXCELLENT! We ate there twice in 2 days (one day sharing a meat platter, another sharing a seafood platter). Both meals were excellent and well priced.

The apartment is according to the rental description, the kitchen is more than fully equipped, the water is drinkable but takes time to get used to the taste. The apartment is very colourful, well maintained and clean. The garden is very nice and we enjoyed the terrace in the afternoons. The house has a magnificent view but it´s a steep hill to the house. There is a small beach just down the road perfect for just taking a dip but the bigger beach with restaurants and waterplaygrounds is a 10 minute walk away. We found it a bit crowded during our stay and went to the nearby camping. At the camping you had to pay a small fee for adults per day but a lot less people, deeper water and more clean. The owners were very friendly, helpful and service minded. No problem with languages, English and German works fine. We rented the boat from the family and got to see Ciovo Island from the seaside which we can recommend, instead of renting a car. If there is no sun or a little bit cloudy, the main road was jammed and this is the only road to get from Ciovo to the mainland. To get into Trogir there was a 20 minutes’ walk from the house, watch out for cars, mobile caravans and motorcycles, there are no pavements adapted to pedestrians which was a challenge when it got dark. Trogir is exiting, noisy and vibrant. There are lot of places to eat breakfast, dinner or just to get a drink. The prices are fair and the food is very inspired from Italy with pasta’s and pizzas on every menu. Don’t miss the greengrocery market, fish market and the tourist market, which is situated on the mainland, just where Trogir starts/ends. If you are going to exchange money, check more places than one, due it can differ a lot when it comes to exchanges rates. We did a trip into Split with the one hour ferry from Trogir to experience a little history. Be prepared to walk a lot and that the prices are higher than Trogir, but worth it. In all, apartment “Sarah” fulfilled our expectations and Patrica & Slatko made our stay memborable.

Lovely apartment with beautiful garden and spacious outside seating area. Very close to the sea but no sea view because of other buildings blocking it. Spotlessly clean. Very well -equipped with everything you could possibly need - washing machine, hair dryer, clothes horse for drying clothes outside, insect screens on all windows. Very nice, helpful owner. There are two small supermarkets within 5 min walking distance and a range of shops, banks, restaurants, etc. a little bit further on at the main beach. The apartment is close to several different beaches. We mostly went to the closest one -just a few minutes walk down the hill. It's an artificial beach with white gravel so not all that comfortable to lie on but you get used to it and it has the advantage that sand doesn't get everywhere. The beach is small but is quiet and quite clean (apart from the cigarette butts which are everywhere). It looks out towards an industrial port on the other side of the bay but the water is perfectly clean nonetheless. The main beach is about 5-10 min walk away (take the road up behind the houses to avoid walking on the road with all the traffic). It is lined with bars and restaurant, all with music blaring out. Beach itself is nice and clean, views are beautiful and the water is crystal clear. There are various activities for kids - pedal boats, bouncy castle type areas in the water and lots of agencies selling day trips. Apparently, there are natural beaches on the other side of the island but we unfortunately never made there. Trogir is a beautiful little town, though very busy, of course, at that time of the year. The road in from the apartment is quite busy but there is a back road as well which is shorter. The walk takes about 20 minutes. In the evenings, there are lots of restaurants to try out at the main beach but we liked the one just down at the beach near the apartment, Mediterraneo I think it was called. It's terrace overlooked the water, the food was good and the staff were very friendly. I'm giving the rental 3 stars rather than 4 because although the apartment itself is beautiful, I would have preferred a quieter area. One tip - the apartment is quite hard to find, up a steep hill with no sign so contact the owner in advance to get detailed driving directions.
