Overall, our stay here was great and would recommend it. The property is a cozy home and it’s situated in a great location in Hood River. Arrived was very communicative throughout our stay.

We loved the house. It was the perfect place for our small family (with room to spare) while we were in town for a wedding. The house was clean and the location was great. We were grateful we packed earplugs as road traffic can be at times loud due to house being on busy street, but otherwise everything was just lovely.

The house is conveniently located to downtown Hood River. The instructions for the house were concise and easy to follow and the house was very clean and easily accommodated 8 adults. If you're looking for a great place to stay while in Hood River I'd recommend staying at the Lucky.

The home was as promised. We found that the refrigerator was set on high ( supper cold) and nothing in it and it, made things freeze. Just an energy waist for you. We also found that the hanging plant at the dinner table was full to the top with water and causing plant rot. We took the plant outside and drained all the water we could. Left it in the dinning room where we found it. Plus on arrival we found the front door completely unlocked. This might have been from the cleaning crew - person. Teresa

We were very happy with the vacation home called Lucky in Hood River. It was clean, the kitchen was well-equipped. There was Hood River coffee beans with a grinder and a coffee pot provided.
We would go back again if it works out for us.

Not fully cleaned. Some articles of clothing from previous residents found.
Maybe mention steep, difficult stairway in description. People with mobility issues had great challenge with that.

This lucky place has a some pros/cons...
Location: Great location with walking access to downtown
Restaurants: Hood River offers a lot of restaurants, many wineries & breweries.
Family Friendly: We celebrated a small thanksgiving there and had access to many kitchen utensils and dinnerware, not to mention plastic ware for the kids.
Games: Board games/puzzles were provided for the kids
The only drawback was the noise.
Outside noise: I realize the house was built in 1908, but we could tell the house was not insulated for noise. Because the house is located on a busy street, one could hear the traffic throughout the night in the bedrooms upstairs.
Inside noise: The water pipes / walls are not insulated for noise either. The downstairs toilet flushes very LOUD, and when water runs upstairs, it runs behind the downstairs bedroom which can be heard.
Still, a practical & enjoyable location for a stay in Hood River.

Small, cute bungalow with well appointed kitchen on busy street. Fenced yard good for dog. Not easy walking distance to town, steep hill all the way back. Will look for more of a walk around town location next time.

A bit hard to find with all the untamed shrubs. Older home but with charm. Bedrooms are small but to be excepted from an older home. Across the street from hospital. That street traffic is loud and busy. But overall it served the purpose. Walking distance to a breakfast place and couple bars.

Awesome home close to oak street which is the main downtown area in Hood River.

We stayed at this house for 4 nights.
Pros:
- decent location to activities in Hood River
- plenty of space (there were 2 adults, 1 child)
- fit into our budget
Cons:
- road noise, even at night
- could have been cleaner (some cobwebs, a spider, floors were a little dirty)
- super steep stairs (VERY steep)
- old (house built in 1909 and still felt very old. furniture, towels, and bedding also felt old)
Overall, it was just fine for our family for the few days. It was good and decent, no major complaints. I just wouldn't rate this place as great.
If you are on a budget and don't mind something a little older/less clean, this will be just fine for you.

Quick trip to Hood River
We traveled out to Hood River for a friend’s wedding. The house had plenty of beds and baths for all of us to get ready, and the close in location was great so convenient.

Older home that is well appointed. On a busy street so road noise starts early, bit we were up and out so not an issue.

This was a fun place to stay and literally had an amazing location. Right down the street from the park, right across the street from the hospital (haha, it's a quiet hospital so this was just for peace of mind), and right up the street from the best parts of Hood River!
The home was clean and well-stocked with everything we needed. It's an older home, so it came with a few quirk (squeaky floors and way too few outlets), but otherwise it was a great place to stay! The stairs are super steep and there aren't baby gates provided, so be warned if you travel here with little ones.
We enjoyed our stay!

Economical house in Hood River
The good thing about this house is it the price: $200 a night for four bedrooms. The house is on noisy 13th St., so don’t expect a quiet mountain experience. Although the house has four bedrooms they are all very small. The house has a slight odor of cigarettes. The property manager sent contradictory signals about whether our cat was or was not welcome. The house is located next to a hospital so it’s great if you have any medical emergencies. Despite this mixed review, my family like the place and I think they are the best judges of the quality of the property. I probably wouldn’t stay here again. But if you have 4 to 8 people and are looking to save money, then this is your place.

Very sweet house. Wonderful well-stocked kitchen & comfy beds. Plenty of towels. Roomy bathrooms & walk-in shower which was much-appreciated by our cane user. Parking for 2 cars a bonus. We were four 73 yo women having a mini-reunion. Stairs a bit steep for us oldies but still negotiable. Not a lot of plugs, so bring an extension cord or 2 if you can. Sometimes a bit noisy on the street, but not so much it distracted. All in all well worth the cost. Thank you!

Cute little getaway close to town. Too far for us to walk but easy for younger folks.

LUCKY
Lucky was just great.
For the price, it would be nice to have a garbage disposal and a refrigerator with an ice maker. Those were missed!
Otherwise, it was wonderful for what we needed.
Thank you,

WONDERFUL!!!
I agonized over which house to rent for our short stay in Hood River. I finally settled on Lucky & I am so thrilled I did. The house is adorable & very cozy. It was clean beyond expectations & well stocked with all the essentials you could ever need. The front porch is heavenly & watching the cars go by was so relaxing for us. Even our dogs were thrilled because they could roam & play without me helicopter moming them. My only regret is not booking it for one more night. Thank you so much & we will be back!

Great place for a family with a dog!
Cute house with a great fenced front yard for our dog. The location is great, just a 15 minute walk to town, 5 minute walk to two lovely parks. It is on a busy street, but inside you don't hear it. The window unit A/Cs work great and keep the whole house cool. We had a minor ant problem and the rental agency came over right away to address it.

Girls Weekend getaway
We had a great time at this property. Everything was clean and check in process was very easy. It's an older house but they have done a great job updated the furnishings. The stairs are step and narrow so keep that in mind if you have any mobility issues. Would definitely stay here again.

Lucky House
We really liked this house. Mud room, spacious dining area and counters. Good cooking tools and glassware. Front entry gate was not working, but that was fine. One item to be fixed was upper bath toilet paper holder came loose. Better pads under runner rugs so they don't slip.
We would definitely stay here again. One star off for street noise. We have a 100 year old house so we appreciate this home. Some aspects are rustic, but beds were excellent and bathrooms exceptionally clean.

Disappointed
This location is on one of the main streets in Hood River and is extremely noisy. We found the windows to be very old and the locks were very loose and in need of repair. The window in the downstairs bedroom was cracked and the screen was bent open and unsecure. The appliances are in need of repair ie: ice maker broken and cycles every 30 minutes, dishwasher sounds like the soap dispenser gears are grinding, dryer does not stop when door is opened. There are very little electrical outlets. One bed had sheets with holes in them. For the price we paid I expected the conditions to be better.
