Superb

It exceeded our expectations. First we experiences the hospitality. Our plane was supposed to land at midnight. We didn't hope to check in so late, thinking we would need to spend a night at a hotel, but the host said they'd welcome us at 1 am. It was very handy and very nice of the hosts. The pool is really big and clean. The house is spacious, it easily accommodates 6 people in 3 bedrooms. All amenities are in. The kitchen, the dining room, the living room are large. Conditioning works well. Internet inside the house and on the terrace works well. Taxi of 17-19 euro takes you to the old town for some 20m minutes (waiting time may be 7-10 minutes). There is a small but very handy shop just around the corner)) And value for money it was approximately 12 out of 10)) Many thanks to Barbara and Nicos!! And yes, on day 1 you will wonder why no one in their reviews mentioned the proximity of the airport (we did wonder on day 1). You'll understand this on day 2 ))))

Superb

Villa was very beautiful and there is very much space and rooms. There was modern household appliances and easy to use. Neighborhood was calm and peaceful place. Travelling with own car was easy and there was good markets near villa, where you can get all the stuff you need. Hosts was extremely polite and nice people. Definitely will suggest this place.

Lovely villa, great hosts, thoroughly recommend 👍

Barbara & Nikos are super hosts. Great communication prior and during the trip. We arrived late and were treated to homemade spinach and feta parcels as well a large bowl of fruit, wine, nuts and various other food items. The villa is great, with a bright and open plan design and the outdoor eating and seating areas are fantastic. 3 good sized bedrooms with AC & plenty of storage. The modern pool and seating area is lovely with plenty of seating options & shade, pool is a decent depth and very clean - can’t fault it. Local beaches (Stavros/Marathi/Loutraki) are probably some of the best in the area. As other reviewers have noted you ideally need a car but could walk to the beach / town (if you’re are keen walker and don’t mind the heat!). Taxi’s are possible but we found it tricky to arrange one when needed (to Chania @ 20eur)

The airport is not far away which wouldn’t have been such an issue if only commercial flights however when we stayed there were fighter jets leaving and arriving daily. Great if your a plane spotter but the sonic booms got a little annoying. To be fair this would have impacted the entire peninsula. The property is closer to a road then we expected so there is a little road noise at times but didn’t bother us and was drowned out by the cicadas!

Beautiful villa with a great outdoor area.

The hosts of this villa are amazing! Messaged me when I made the booking on WhatsApp so instantly had an easy way to communicate. Collected me and my friend from the airport and gave us a tour round the villa. Which has it all. The villa itself is very well equipped and has everything you might need. The kitchen is a very good size and the hosts provided us with wine, olive oil, coffee incl pods for the machine, so much fruit, and ice already in the freezer. Lots of cutlery, plates, pots and pans, and cleaning products. The dining area is such a good spot to sit at and the lighting is very cool. In the living room there is comfortable L shaped sofa with a TV that has a Chromecast attached to it, so you can easily stream your own Netflix, Amazon Prime etc directly from your phone/laptop. There is a toilet with shower located on the ground floor, and a bathroom and en-suite located upstairs. The three bedrooms all have aircon, with two of them sharing a balcony and the master bedroom with its own large outdoor area with table and chairs. The outdoor area here is great - an outdoor dining area, a swing that can seat at least 3 people, a pool (not heated), and sun loungers next to the pool with a great seating area. This area is recessed which is perfect as when there is any wind you don't feel it as its blocked by the pool and surrounding trees. Nearby there is local corner shop, its very close by - about 3 or 4 doors over. It has the basics including alcohol and cigarettes. And by taxi it's roughly 20 minutes into Chania town. Definitely would recommend this place to friends.

First day we have a little issue with one neigthboor due to our music, which is not so loud but we dont know that you cant make noise between 15:00 and 17:00.

The best post-pandemic experience we could have asked for!

This villa provided the setting for the MOST spectacular holiday ever! The hosts, Nikos and Barbara, were so amazing, really friendly but also made sure we felt like we could enjoy our holiday in peace. They popped by once in the week to refresh the sheets and towels and to clean the pool and they also picked us up from and dropped us back at the airport which was a huge help! The pictures on the listing really don't do the villa justice! We all were so very pleasantly surprised and agreed it was the nicest place we had ever stayed. There were local restaurants, a little shop and a gorgeous beach all in walking distance from the house. Nikos and Barbara also left local takeaway menus incase we fancied a night in, along with some local wines and olive oils - they really did think of every detail. We are booking for next year!

A perfect place...

Stayed here with our two children aged 11 & 14 for 12 days in August. Ideal place for low-key relaxing break. Greeted on arrival with ice in the freezer and frosted glasses in a really clean villa - just what you need after a hot journey. Villa was extremely well equipped, and had everything we needed including right down to dishwasher tablets and mosquito repellent burner. The villa was clean and very spacious, and the pool was a good size. Pool area was really nicely done with comfy sun beds - gets sun all day. Pool towels and bath tables all provided and changed a few times through our stay. Although not on a main strip, supermarkets were a 5 min drive away, and some nice local restaurants. There is a small mini market 50 yards away which had most essentials. Beach was 1.9km away. Air con in all bedrooms which was ideal, and mosquito/insect screens on all doors and windows. Perfect place to stay, could not fault it at all.

Superb

What I liked most was the swimming pool. The villa is located in a very peaceful and quiet neigbourhood. This makes it very nice to just lay besides the pool, enjoy the weather and relax. The hosts were also extremely nice. They offered to drive us to places, picked us up and brought us back to the airport all free of charge.

The only problem I had with the villa was the location. We didn't have a car so getting around was quite hard. We did rent bycicles but we underestimated the terrain and riding up the mountains wasn't an option. Luckily there was a small convenience store just 20 metres from the villa which made it easy to get water and some food.

There were the best holidays in this house and at this place for many years!

House located in very quiet and beautiful place not far from Chania. Many beaches close to this location, but you should rent the car to have this options... Great view from the upper balcony of the house! Owners very very friendly, careful and attentive for the guests. House very clean, comfortable and modern. Large kitchen fully equipped with ALL necessary for the long stay. Owners welcome us with local wine, raki, fruits and Cretan food (olive oil, shpinacopita, homemade lemonade etc..) Beautiful and comfortable patio and nice garden with flowers, gives you all, to enjoy your time on open air! Free parking place. Free cleaning service every 3 days at convenient time for the guests. 18 days were passed as one moment)))) We love this house and will back next time!
