I like the main bar, the “old fashioned” taste was pretty good.

Receptionist the service is not good enough.

the restrictions on All inclusive/ times to eat no snack bar if you missed breakfast. All inclusive did not include mini bar in room (only 2 bottles of still water) in previous Maldives resorts we could drink soft drinks and had limited wines etc so this was was not ideal when staying in water villa.

We've spent our honeymoon at Robinson Club Noonu. The island is beautiful and looks just like in the pictures. Transfers to and from it were carried out smoothly. Our room preferences were taken into account. Menu was different every day and very tasty, there was a plenty of choice for meat-eaters and vegetarians. There were hand sanitisers near the restaurant. The spacious and still-new rooms were cleaned two times a day. Beach was being raked every morning. You can walk the island barefoot. We received a bottle of champagne and some fruits together with a friendly note on the first day of our stay. The reception, restaurant and rooms' staff were really friendly and went out of their way to make our stay the best possible (shout-out to: Faye, Himyaan, Hunain, Nahma, Viky. You were all great!).

We feel ripped-off and taken advantage of. The hotel's managers didn't handle the coronavirus pandemic well. We've had our flight cancelled and reschedulled for the next day. Due to local Maldivian regulations at the time we could not book any other hotel on Maldives to stay the extra night. After paying a hefty sum extra for return flight we didn't have enough money for another night at Robinson Club Noonu. The manager we spoke to (blonde woman) knew all of this and still made us borrow from our family and pay 400USD (on booking.com the cheapest option at that time was 600USD, so we should be happy we got a 200 USD discount, yay). We understand that running a hotel is not a charity but it wasn't a free-market situation either as our only alternative to staying at Robinson would be to be homeless on the streets of Male (you were not allowed to enter the Male airport if you didn't have the departure flight in the next few hours). The hotel was being completely closed in two days but on our last day they still wanted to charge us extra ~50 USD for a late check-out. We've never had to pay for a late check-out at any other hotel (even cheaper ones) if there weren't any new guests coming. Well, not in Robinson Club Noonu. We had to argue not to pay this fee. Funny how in times of pandemic many ordinary people go our of their way to help each other but various businesses use it as an opportunity to make even more money - and Robinson Club Noonu was one of them. Also, just a reminder - even though the beach is spotless, they don't clean the water bed in the ocean so there are many broken corals that can hurt your feet once you enter it - if you cannot swim or have small children, you're going to have a problem.
