Forest idyll near the beach The forest park 'Rubinsøen' is located in the northwestern part of Bornholm, south of Hasle and only 10 km north of the island capital Rønne. A magnificent nature reserve consisting of a relaxing forest area and close to a wonderfully wide and child-friendly sandy beach. Not far from the forest park is 'Rubinsø' (Ruby Lake). The origin of this lake goes back to the time when coal was mined here. In the process, a water vein was found deep underground, which created the lake in a very short time. Today you can fish here for pike and other fish. Fishing permits are available on site for a fee. In this vacation paradise, in the middle of the sparse forest and not far from Rubinsø, these first-class, completely newly designed and in their architecture unique quality vacation homes of high standard were built in 1999. The individual houses, loosely arranged in groups of two, are harmoniously coordinated in equipment and furnishings and are extremely comfortable. Even the whirlpool was not spared on comfort. Nature experience island Bornholm Bornholm with its year-round mild climate offers so many unique things that you can hardly find elsewhere in Scandinavia: From super beaches with the finest sand at Dueodde in the south to the picturesque cliff coast with impressive shore formations in the north. And towering above it all on the northern tip are the imposing ruins of Hammershus Castle, the oldest of its kind in Scandinavia.
