Karpaha Sands

Karpaha Sands was the best hotel we have ever stayed. We picked this hotel for our honeymoon and could not ask more. Every detail from the moment we stepped in until the moment we left was well thought and wonderful. Spacious beach, infinity pool, delicious foods, comfortable and very clean rooms, we loved every part of it. Special thanks to Umberto, the hotel manager, greeting us very warmly, and making sure our stay was exactly like we hoped it would be. Thank you Nisanthan, our butler, making feel us home in every second we stay in Karpaha Sands, taking care of our every needs attentively. Thank you Pethum, serving our breakfasts and dinners with his continuous smile on his face.

It was a beautiful and incredibly relaxing place with excellent staff, delicious food and a pristine beach. Nothing was too much trouble. We would highly recommend a stay here. It was good value given the very high standards of the hotel.

The highlight of our trip to Sri Lanka! Stunning property. The setting is magical, and the beach pristine. The food was incredible and plentiful. Accomodation was lovely; very private and comfortable. Great pool area. Staff were fantastic, Umberto & your team - congratulations on such a spectacular place.

We didn’t stay long enough!

Karpah Sands is quite simply somewhere very special. We have travelled to some beautiful places, but we have never stayed anywhere quite like this. It is a true tropical paradise and peaceful hideaway, and the memories we’ve made here will stay with us forever. We stayed in a Beach Villa, which absolutely blew our minds. It was spacious, beautifully designed and air-conditioned, with a safari-tent feel but all the comfort you could wish for. The bathroom was gorgeous, but the highlight had to be the incredible outdoor tropical waterfall shower – powerful, natural and completely magical. Every morning we opened the drapes to the sight of the clean golden sand and the warm Indian Ocean, and watched some of the most breathtaking sunrises we’ve ever seen. What really stood out, though, was the service. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel incredibly welcome. Umberto, the manager, greeted us personally and was an exceptional host throughout our stay. Our fantastic butler Dulip deserves a special mention too – nothing was ever too much trouble and he was always around with a smile whenever we needed anything. Sarajit, our waiter, was also wonderful and contributed to the genuinely warm and personal service we experienced throughout our stay. The food was excellent, but it was the little touches that made the experience feel so special. Around the pool, the team would wander around throughout the day bringing chilled water, mint chocolate popsicles, fresh watermelon juice and plenty of clean towels, while there were always beautiful places to relax. The 30-metre infinity pool was immaculate and the perfect place to spend a lazy afternoon. We also loved the spa and enjoyed massages during our stay. The cookery experience was another highlight – a wonderfully personal experience with just the two of us and the chef, in the upstairs open-air restaurant overlooking the Indian Ocean. It felt much more like a private experience than a typical hotel activity.
